Hi, My wife is currently 28 weeks pregnant. She is struggling with feelings of overwhelmingness, which stems from her worrying about her own hearlth, our baby's health, and carrying out every day tasks. I (husband) am working right now and she stays at home with a dog that's 1 years old. We recently moved to the Van Nuys area, so it's been an adjustment settling in. She is also planning a baby shower, which has been a huge source of stress. She is pre-diabetic and has been very carefully monitoring her blood sugar levels, which is another source of stress. I am looking for a duola to help her feel reassured and can help guide her in overall pregnacy tips before our baby is born. I would appreciate any opportunity to find a good match and discuss ways that my wife can feel less overwhelmed and more supported from now up until she gives birth.

I’d like to give birth at the hospital. I’d like for my insurance to cover cost I am delivering at Tarzana Hospital. I have LA-Care through medical. I really wish to have a natural birth with the least amount of medical interference I’d prefer to not have to do Pitocin, epidural, c-section, or any form of episiotomy.

I heard that my health insurance might cover it. I don’t want to be induce to give birth if my baby isn’t ready on the due date given. I'm looking for a birth doula who can operate from a hospital. Ideally if they are registered with Los Robles hospital that would be amazing as I could cover it with insurance. Otherwise I will have to pay out of pocket and while I want support, birth is expensive. I want someone to be three throughout the birth and coach me through it as this is my first baby and I'm trying to do a natural birth in the hospital. I have an amazing midwife who operates out of Los Robles so we'll be doing that there. My ideal midwife would be spiritual - have sound bowls or suggestions for good music, sounds, breathing techniques, positions and natural herbs, oils and yoni steams to help bring a baby into this world in the most natural way possible given the circumstances.

Birth prep, labor and postpartum support

Im a first time mom looking for day care for approximately 8 hours a day 4-5 days a week. For provider, I’m looking for a certified postpartum Douala with at least a few years of experience. No requirement for second language spoken but I speak Spanish fluently and some Mandarin. My son is 3 weeks old and is currently exclusively breast fed. I’m interested in help with meal prep/cooking, laundry, and minimal cleaning around the house. I need more sleep during the day and would like baby care while I take a nap or two. I’m going to start pumping and would also like help getting the baby to start taking a bottle. My estimated budget is approximately $70 an hour.

I am looking for someone who can help to protect me and help me feel safe and like my choices are being respected during labor. I am absolutely open to pain medications/necessary interventions, but I do have some fear in hospitals and I don't necessarily trust the medical system 100%. My budget is probably up to $1000, I'm giving birth at the UCLA center in Westwood. I am going to decide on an epidural as I go, but if I get one I want a walking epidural. I am afraid of C section to be honest, I would rather have some control and be able to move around but not feel rushed through or pressured into procedures that aren't necessary. I want to protect a calm and quiet environment as much as possible, I'm guessing I'm going to want to be very inward as I go through the process, at least as much as possible, but this is my first baby so I'm not 100% sure. Hoping to do intermittent monitoring if possible, want golden hour, don't want my provider to pull on my placenta or the cord. And I'd like delayed cord clamping :) I am definitely open to student doulas, but I don't think I want UCLA student doctors in and out disturbing my peace as I work through labor. Mainly just don't want the noise, distraction, additional people in the room.
