I will be delivering in Santa Monica Birthplace hoping it will be unmedicated and positive. I am looking for a doula to help support me and my husband at the hospital as well as contribute with advocating for my needs.

I plan to give birth at St John’s Hospital in Santa Monica. I’m not sure what my birth plan is yet. Insurance is Aetna Electric choice open access.

I plan to give birth at. Hospital and it’s my first baby. I was informed about doula to help make sure I give birth in a comfortable safe environment away from pressure from the doctor. I heard that my health insurance might cover it. I don’t want to be induce to give birth if my baby isn’t ready on the due date given. I want to have my baby in the most natural way but when my body and baby are ready not by force.

I’d like to give birth at a birthing center but my husband is leaning towards a hospital. I mainly want it to be a natural birth and to labor how I feel most comfortable. I don’t want to be pressured or pushed by the hospital in any way (including delayed cord clamping, keeping vernix on etc). Hi, My wife is currently 28 weeks pregnant. She is struggling with feelings of overwhelmingness, which stems from her worrying about her own hearlth, our baby's health, and carrying out every day tasks. I (husband) am working right now and she stays at home with a dog that's 1 years old. We recently moved to the Van Nuys area, so it's been an adjustment settling in. She is also planning a baby shower, which has been a huge source of stress. She is pre-diabetic and has been very carefully monitoring her blood sugar levels, which is another source of stress. I am looking for a duola to help her feel reassured and can help guide her in overall pregnacy tips before our baby is born.
