My name is Virginia Parent. I am a Birth and Postpartum Doula located in Venice, Florida. I have been a Doula for the last 3 years serving families from Lakewood Ranch, Myakka city, to Fort Myers. I believe all families deserve to have a supported birth experience. As a mother of 4, I have experienced two hospital births, one which was an induction and a NICU baby; and I have experienced two midwife supported water births. I have formula fed, exclusively pumped, and exclusively breastfed. My large range of personal experience helps me to remind my clients that birth has a wide range of normal and allows me to relate, personally, to clients no matter how they choose to give birth. I am here to help mother's experience a cozy and welcoming journey into their new roles as mothers and as a family.

As a birth doula I am to care and support a pregnant person and their partner before, during, and after labor. I aim to provide emotional support, physical comfort, client confidentiality, client advocacy such as communicating with staff to obtain information that a client may need to make an informed decision during labor. I can provide reassurance, relaxation techniques, suggested laboring positions, massages, and pressure points during labor. As a Postpartum Doula I am dedicated to helping navigate those first few months to first year milestones. I specialize in breastfeeding, sleep support for parents and baby, milestone education and support. I love to remind mom that she needs her rest so I also offer mild help round the house including but not limited to dishes, food prep, laundry, and light cleaning. Services for Birth Doula include prenatal visits, on-call labor support, 24/7 phone support, and 4th trimester postpartum support. Additionally, I work with a Partner Doula to ensure you always have a Doula available for your needs. You will meet the Partner Doula during all visits and have access to both of us throughout your pregnancy. For Postpartum Services include packages for sleep support, 4th trimester support, newborn care specialty, and breastfeeding packages.
