As a first time mom that doesn't want a lot of toxins injected into myself, and the baby, I need someone who will listen first and give advice second, or ask me questions until I'm comfortable. I'm at 5 weeks right now and just starting my research.
I’m looking for a midwife that offers home water births that supports hypnoborthing and ecstatic birthing. This is the beginning of exploring our options so I’m not sure what to expect for a budget
I am seeking a licensed midwife for a planned home birth. I am looking for someone who supports a holistic, spiritual, and low-intervention approach to birth while maintaining safety for both me and my baby. I would like my birth experience to include prayer, affirmations, freedom of movement during labor, natural comfort measures, and a calm, peaceful environment. I want a provider who views birth as a natural process, respects informed decision-making, and is comfortable incorporating my spiritual beliefs into my care. I am interested in prenatal care, labor and birth support, postpartum follow-up, and breastfeeding guidance. I am hoping to build a trusting relationship with my midwife and create a birth experience that feels empowering, safe, and sacred for my family.
I need a midwife who does home births. I plan to keep my placenta, I want to do a lotus birth.
I have a twin pregnancy and want to have some flexibility during labor I want a calm close to natural experience maybe in a birthing center.

Looking into giving a Home water birth I need a midwife and doula to help me with the process this is my third vaginal child
I prefer to give birth at the hospital since this is my first pregnancy and want to receive an epidural. I will be moving back to Windsor Ontario around December 5 and will have OHIP which is why I dont have a budget.
In home water birth Under $10000 Provides prenatal care like ultra sojnds and blood work
First birth, want an at home style birth plan. I want as little reason to be at a hospital as possible. I have no insurance so I would pay out of pocket and would need to know when my fees are due so I can properly plan that. I will be stopping work by December. I am currently 17 weeks. I would prefer to have in person meetings as much as possible and my partner would like to be involved when possible. He has more questions than I, he does not understand midwifery or doulas, I am very comfortable with the idea and truly do not want to give birth at a hospital. My mom is a nurse and there is a chance she will want to be involved, which is okay. I see a Massage Therapist regularly who is a doula herself and gives me advice now and then.
15 weeks along. Looking for a midwife to help me through my first birth. Wanting a home birth.
Midwife and/or doula. I went to my first OB appt yesterday and after the OB recommended the Covid & flu vax, I realized I can’t trust anything she says. I would like to have the most natural, non-invasive pregnancy & birth possible while also keeping it safe and having access to a hospital if needed. I think home or a birth center would be best for me, as I have severe medical trauma from past experiences. Budget is still up for discussion.
Only a few weeks along with my first! Definitely wanting to go the traditional/home birth route, and also looking for prenatal care and guidance.
Birthing center had preeclampsia my first pregnancy I’m high risk I don’t want to be on medicine I want to do the whole nine months I want a midwife
I'm planning my second birth and likely final birth. I've been drawn to home birth but was too fearful the first time around. If I'll never get to do this again, I want the opportunity to experience a peace filled birth. The birth of my son was A LOT - I wanted zero interventions and I ended up with an epidural and pitocin. The midwife who actually delivered baby didn't have me change position once (which previous providers on staff did - which seemed helpful). The cord was around babys neck so every time he went in and out of the birth canal, he lost circulation. After he came out, they cut his cord immediately and took him away - again, not what I wanted for either of us. I 'spiked a fever' during labor (I didn't...), so they made me and baby stay in the hospital for 5 days of antibiotics and observation - luckily, both of our IV's got accidentally ripped out by the provider after the first dose and we refused the remaining doses - we just stayed for observation. It was miserable. I was up for almost 5 days straight because I couldn't sleep with my baby next to me and I didn't produce milk because I was so stressed. I want a positive birth experience. It's going to take some convincing to get my partner on board, but I don't want to regret this forever. I'd like to give birth at home. I'm 22wks along, so need to make a decision now. I'm open to discussing budget. I have a provider at Henry Ford Hospital - so I've had labs and ultrasounds done and can continue. Baby is healthy and thriving - so am I. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond.
