I am 35 years old and about 5 weeks pregnant. I have never been pregnant before. Looking for a doula ( no budget ) to guide me up until and at birth and possibly with lactation. Would like to give birth with midwife in doula in a birthing center if possible next choice would be hospital with midwife and doula. My Birth Plan Labor & Environment Preferences • I prefer a natural birth with no medical interventions or pain medications. • The lights should be dimmed, and I want minimal interruptions to maintain a calm environment. • Soft music may be played but kept at a low volume. • I want my best friend and the baby’s father present for support. • I plan to remain active during labor, using walking and a birthing ball to aid progression. Delivery Preferences • I prefer to deliver in a squatting position or lying down, depending on what feels most natural and effective at the time. • I do not want the umbilical cord to be cut immediately. Instead, I choose a lotus birth, allowing the placenta and umbilical cord to remain attached until they naturally detach. This plan reflects my ideal birth experience, and I appreciate my healthcare team’s support in respecting my choices while ensuring the safety of both my baby and me.
