Hi! I'm a first time mom with Cigna, looking for a doula to help support me as a woman with several risk factors, like lichen sclerosis, advanced maternal age, and anxiety. I'd like a doula for prenatal consultation(s), labor support, and breastfeeding education/assistance. We'd like to cap out out-of-pocket budget around $1,000, if possible. We live in Jersey City and would like some local, with strong certifications and experience.

Tara is coughing and sputtering mid-feed, and we need expert guidance on managing breastfeeding alongside a Cow's Milk Protein Intolerance (CMPI) diagnosis. We require a provider with specific experience handling infant food intolerances and flow or swallowing and breastfeeding position and coordination issues. No additional household duties (like cooking or laundry) are needed. We strongly prefer someone in-network. Our insurance provider is BCBSNJ with PPO plan.

I’m looking for a female lactation consultant that can come in person to help me figure out if I’ll be able to breast-feed. This is my second pregnancy in the first one I didn’t produce milk but in this one I have encouragement. I’m in tremendous pain in my breast and armpits and I had nipple surgery three years ago where I was told I won’t be able to breast-feed. I’m in the process of finding out if they stated that because it’s unsafe to breast-feed and they put something in my nipples or because they thought that the milk ducks will not work, which is very likely what I’m going through. I ordered the spectra S1 plus pumps because I was leaking today for the first time but nothing came out of the pumps and I’m not sure if that’s because my ducks don’t work or because I have the wrong size. I just need a lot of help and I think I need someone in person. I can’t even hold my baby because of the pain so I’m not sure what I should do and if I should continue trying or try to get rid of this milk supply.
