Hi everyone! I'm Meghan. Since 2014 I have had the honor of serving many San Diego families as a birth and postpartum doula. I have extensive experience in home birth, birth center, and hospital settings. I have also built an incredible network of amazing San Diego resources and care providers to ensure that you have a holistically supported pregnancy and postpartum season. My practice is family centered and evidence based. My goal is to make sure that you have the information and resources to make informed decisions. I believe that birth is a transformative rite of passage and that the experience can be calm, peaceful, and empowered. I look forward to talking with you about your birth :)

My births would not have been so amazing if Meghan was not my doula. She seemed to know what I needed before I asked, and seemed to say exactly what I needed to hear when I needed to hear it. Knowing she was there helped me get through each surge until I welcomed my babies into my arms.

Annika joined our family for 2 months with our second baby and her help was such a relief for us through the sleepless nights. We had the first 6 weeks covered through our insurance and ended up extending her 2 more weeks out of pocket. Annika was easy to work with in terms of extending the contract -- and luckily she had another client after us otherwise we may have continued booking for another 3 months! During those months she actually helped us identify that our daughter was having silent reflux. Long story short, our baby ended up having multiple tongue ties that we got revised and wouldn't have figured out so quickly without Annika's recommendation to get her looked at! She never claimed to have expertise in areas she didn't know about and always guided us towards someone who did. Since the tongue ties were revised I was able to continue my breastfeeding journey. Annika was always on time, eager to help, wore a mask around our baby (I didn't know what she looked like without one until one of our last nights!) and sent detailed notes at the end of each night. I loved being able to know what happened throughout the night between feeding sessions even when someone else was holding my baby. I had never had a doula before but if I ever have a third child I will make sure that Annika is available. Not only are her services top notch, she is a lovely person to be around and so sweet. We love Annika and recommend her 100%!

Hi I’m Madison, a Student Midwife and Full Spectrum Doula providing personable, non-judgmental and inclusive care for all folx in San Diego, California. Throughout our time together, I am intent on helping you find your voice, and am ready to provide you with unparalleled support and resources so that you're able to make informed decisions throughout your entire reproductive journey.

We were lucky enough to work with Madison after the birth of our twin girls as a night doula. Honestly, without her visits once or twice a week, I don't know how we would have made it through the 4th trimester. Madison is prompt, extremely helpful, and has a wealth of knowledge. But most importantly her calming presence put as at ease knowing we had a good nights rest ahead of us and the girls would be in good hands. I can't recommend Madison enough and will definitely be reaching out should we have more children in the future.

Hyping mamas up to receive the care they deserve is my jam! My professional training as a Certified Lactation Counselor, Birth, and Postpartum Doula has allowed me to focus on my caregiving skills and love for helping families make smooth transitions through such a new time in their life. As a woman of color, I know how important it is to feel seen and heard instead of being considered just another number. When we work together, I can assure you that you will receive the care and attention that your family deserves. This is the time to be nurtured and tended to instead of stressing about reading the right books or if you’re feeding your baby too much/too little. I’m your guide to assist with anything from creating a birth plan to meal prepping for your family during early postpartum. When you’re ready to enjoy this process and receive luxury care, don’t hesitate to reach out to me!

Hello! My name is Naomi. I am a newborn care specialist, doula, and aspiring Midwife. I have been working with infants for over 10 years, primarily focusing on the newborn stage. I have extensive experience working with multiples, all feeding support, even g-tube feeding. I am a community centered provider, which is why I am working towards being certified as a Full Spectrum Doula training and hopefully midwifery school. When it comes to providing post-partum support, my philosophies are gentle and feeding led. I want my clients to feel supported, and I want to help build their confidence caring for their children without overstepping.

Recent review

Naomi is a wonderful doula and newborn care specialist. She listened and cares for all of her clients and their extended family members! She became a wonderful member of the family during her time with us. She provided prenatal care during pregnancy, including nursery and home walkthroughs and daily check-ins leading up to the birth of our twins. She was a wonderful partner at the hospital and supported all of our wishes during and after the birth. When we arrived home, she helped us tremendously, bringing home twins and adjusting to our new lives as parents. She helped us create a schedule, organize our home, breastfeeding and bottle feeding, and daily activities while we were at home. She is an invaluable resource, doing research and providing updates during overnights so we can address things in the morning. She also provided feedback for our doctors when one of the twins had some feeding issues and was supportive of our decisions, while also providing educated insight and feedback to help. She is the most wonderful person to have on your team, and I think she provides so much to every family she works with.

I’ve been a labor and delivery nurse for the past 7 years and have attended over 1600 births. I’ve worked at three top hospitals including Cedar Sinai in Beverly Hills, Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, and Scripps hospital, La Jolla. I am a RNC-OB, registered nurse certified in obstetrics as well as a lactation education counselor. I’ve taught labor and delivery at the university level and find teaching very rewarding. Education is at the heart of women’s empowerment. At Rising Lotus Birth, I provide support to pregnant women throughout all phases of care including prenatal visits, birth doula services, and postpartum visits. You may be wondering why I became a doula while still practicing in the hospital setting. My explanation is always that over the years I’ve noticed an overwhelming need for more patient advocacy, education, and birth support in order to achieve better birth outcomes. Birth is my passion. My goal is to help you achieve a better birth and postpartum experience!

Hello! I am a certified perinatal mental health professional through Postpartum Support International. I have been working with families of young children on and off since 2013. I have my Master’s in Clinical Social Work and working towards my licensure. My own personal struggles in child birth and postpartum led me down a journey of healing. I recognized the struggle it was to find a provider that understood my mental health issues regarding motherhood & my culture’s influence. I decided to return back to the mental health field little by little after dedicating 6 years to my children. Seeing the overwhelming need in my community that the pandemic brought. I believe in decolonizing Maternal Mental Health & addressing it holistically through mind, body, spirit, community, & culture.

Hi, I’m Cheyenne! I take great pride in the care and services I offer. With over six years of experience as a birth, bereavement, and postpartum doula and more than fifteen years as a professional caregiver and house manager, I am deeply dedicated to supporting families as they grow, learn, and navigate parenthood. I am also a licensed foster parent in California, serving the San Diego County community with compassion and commitment. I value word-of-mouth connections because they build trust and create a more personal experience, allowing families to feel comfortable reaching out with any questions. I can’t wait to connect with you!

Recent review

Cheyenne has such a warm, engaging presence, it was impossible to not feel her support as navigating my pre- & postpartum journey with both of my boys. Whether she was sharing tools and guiding me and my husband through them, empathizing with my anxieties as a new parent, standing up for my wishes with providers, or engaging me individually in support of creating the best environment for my boys to enter the world, I felt her standing by my side and rooting for me. Cheyenne has an indepth knowledge of pre- & postpartum navigation for both Mom and baby, and her collaboration with and referrals to other providers were So helpful on multiple occasions (for pregnancy massage to support baby being head down & lactation supports related to bottle refusal). I strongly recommend Cheyenne if you are considering having someone by your side for pre- or postpartum navigation.

As a postpartum doula, I’m committed to offering gentle, reliable support that helps your family feel grounded, confident, and truly cared for after birth. I believe it truly does take a village! Through my own journey with a spirited toddler, I’ve experienced firsthand how transformative (and challenging) the shift into parenthood can be. For the past two years I have worked as a full-spectrum doula, now devoting most of my practice to supporting families in the postpartum period, and have had the privilege of serving more than fifty postpartum families. My calling to this work is deeply personal. Having lost my own mother during adolescence, I grew into my maternal nature early. That experience shaped my understanding of how essential nurturing, presence, and steady support truly are, especially during the vulnerable days and weeks after birth. I bring that perspective into every home I serve. My approach is grounded, compassionate, and practical. I aim to create a calm, affirming space where parents can rest, heal, learn, and feel genuinely cared for. At the heart of my work is a simple mission: to make a meaningful difference for families during one of the most tender and powerful transitions of their lives.

Brie worked with us as our post-partum doula and I could not have been more thankful to have found her! She did nights with us, at first 3 nights/week for 6 weeks and then we hired her for an additional 2 nights/week for 10 weeks because she was just that wonderful! She was so calm and caring. On the nights she worked with us, she would let herself in to our house, take our daughter and send us to bed and my husband and I both slept soundly knowing that our baby was in good hands which allowed us to feel better and be so much more present during the day. When our daughter needed to feed, Brie would bring her to me or bring me my pumps and then when I was done, I would text Brie and she would come in and take back over and I got to go back to sleep. Brie helped with tasks during the night such as doing laundry and even made me breakfast in the mornings before she left to ensure I would eat. I have recommended Brie to all of my friends and many of gone on to work with her and also had positive things to say. I cannot recommend her enough and if we were lucky enough to have another child in the future would 1000% want to work with her again!

I love Perri! She was there for me last minute for my birth and i wouldn’t have made it without her. She took on almost everything and got me to understand the nurses and doctors. As a single mom i was overwhelmed, nervous, terrified, and more. With with all that, I’m glad she showed up last minute when she was called because i had literally no one that could be there and by the grace of god she showed up and so did my sons godmother. She doesn’t just stop at the hospital. Still, throughout my postpartum, she has still given me 110% support and is able to guide me into motherhood smoothly. She will forever be apart of our lives. I 100000/10 recommend her to any mothers in need of a supportive doula.
