About me

Hello, my name is Ella Thompson. I am a DONA-certifying birth and postpartum doula, located in San Diego. I believe in empowering, educating, and nurturing individuals and families from pregnancy to postpartum. With a background in childcare and current continuing education in the realm of lactation, I am focused on providing individualized full-spectrum care. Birth and postpartum is powerful as much as it is raw, natural, and beautiful. It is my job to provide emotional, physical, and informational care to those I work with. How YOU choose to birth and navigate YOUR postpartum is MY priority and passion.

Service introduction

I offer both birth and postpartum doula support. My offerings in birth support encompass prenatal, birth, and postpartum support. Including 2-3 prenatal meetings, accessible communication, continuous labor support, and 1-2 postpartum meetings. It is important to me to meet my clients individual needs and desires. Additionally providing support to partners, loved ones, and sibling before, during, and after each birth. My offerings in postpartum support range so that I can meet clients where they are in their postpartum journey. I offer 4-8 hours shifts, with a minimum of 8 hours per week, and 6 weeks per contract. When providing postpartum support I provide: emotional support, hold space for the birth and postpartum experience, assist with newborn care and feedings, help with older sibling and partner transitions, help with light house work, provide resources and referrals, and more.
