Hello. This is my first baby. I plan to give birth at a hospital. I’m looking for support during the labor process and somebody that can help with breastfeeding and any question/concerns my husband, or myself may have. We have tricare select and the cost of the birth and prenatal care is covered.

This is my first pregnancy, and I would like to receive as much help as possible to deliver a healthy baby. I want to give birth at St. Joseph's Women's and am hoping I can labor at home before transitioning into the hospital. I have pregnancy Medicaid and haven't completed my birth plan as of yet. I'm currently 26 weeks and hoping to go full term.

3 day old with what I’m guessing is a shallow latch. Incredibly painful and swollen. Have started supplementing but would love to go back to only nursing. Would love to meet in person

My baby just got his tongue and lip tie fixed he was born 8/14, and i need help with feeding to where is not painful and duable, i need support.

1. Hospital birth most likely in case of complications 2. Unsure of what the costs are for this 3. Holistic based, but not opposed to an epidural.

Help with latch. Newborn baby was latching well but my milk was delayed and thus we supplemented with formula per hospital/pediatrician since birth. All of a sudden as of last night, she is now not wanting to latch and I think it’s due to bottle feeding. My milk is not increasing past 40ml per pump session and she needs at least 80ml to be full right now. Help!

Hi there, my name is Erin Edwards and my daughter Evelyn is a one week old that is having trouble latching. We had some successful nursing sessions yesterday after seeing a lactation consultant at our pediatrician but starting last night, she is super fussy and can’t be calmed down enough to latch. She did cluster feed for about 5 hours last night and I was able to use a nipple shield until about 5am. From then on, she wouldn’t take the nipple shield and wouldn’t even take the syringe, so I am now bottle feeding and pumping. It is my desire to breastfeed, but I’m really discouraged and cry every failed breastfeeding session. My husband and I are looking for someone that can come to our home and is covered by our insurance to help us. Thank you.

My baby had a great latch in the hospital, but my milk didn’t come in right away. Once my milk came in I had no issues feeding, we were primarily breast feeding and I’d pump once overnight for comfort and he’d get a formula bottle every once in a while so dad could feed him. I went back to work and I was pumping 3x during my workday with wearables and was getting ~4oz/day (which I would’ve preferred to be higher at that time) but noticed a decrease in my supply afterwards so I started using the spectra and now a month after using the spectra and increasing my frequency of pumping at work to 4x a day I’m still noticing only 1-2oz/day output

1 week old with a shallow latch. Doesbt stimulate my let down & doesnt open mouth large enough to latch. I have Anthem BCBS for insurance. Would love in home visit but willing to travel local to in office visits.

Lactation consultant. Even though the latch looks deep now my nipple is still lipstick shape and feeding hurts. It could hurt because the nipple is already damaged from first 2 days but I want to ensure that my baby is getting a deep latch.

My last birth was a freebirth at home, i would prefer to have a medical team of some sort on hand for a homebirth this time. I am currently uncertain on a budget. I would like to plan a homebirth if pregnancy remains low risk. Labor in a quiet, calm environment. Dim lighting. Minimal unnecessary interruptions. Freedom to move, walk, squat, kneel, or change positions as desired. Access to water for comfort measures and possible waterbirth if appropriate. I would prefer non medication comfort measures first. Water immersion, position changes, breathing techniques, massage and counter pressure, and encouragement from support people/team. I would like to avoid unnecessary interventions when i and the baby are doing well. Informed consent before any non-emergency procedures. I would also like to have clear explanations of risks, benefits, and alternatives before decisions are made whenever possible. For delivery i want to be able to push according to my bodys urges rather than directed pushing if safe unless i ask otherwise . Freedom to choose birthing position. I want the baby on my chest immediately if both of us are stable. The golden hour is very important to me. I want delayed cord clamping. I want my partners involved in the delivery and cutting the cord. I would also like to deliver our placenta naturally if safe. I would like to initiate breastfeeding as soon as possible. Routine newborn procedures delayed until after bonding when medically appropriate. Keep mother and baby together whenever possible. Transfer to hospital if medically necessary. Preference for clear communication throughout any transfer. I would prefer a provider who is open minded to odd family dynamics and who has been practicing for at least 5-6 years. I am 28 years old, this is my fifth pregnancy and hopefully fourth birth.

My baby will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. She doesn’t like to latch on very long. Lactation specialists helped me in the hospital but my baby girl would always cry and scream when they tried to latch her onto me, after about 10 mins we would give her a bottle so she didn’t get super upset. She was born at 36 weeks 5 days so a little premature, everyone at hospital told me it might take her some time to want to nurse. I pump and she gets my breast milk from pumping and then I top the bottle off with formula when I feed her. I have to use a nipple shield for her to show any interest in latching but she just gets super frustrated when she realizes it’s not a bottle and she won’t try to latch. I have Medicare for insurance and they don’t cover lactation services. I’m willing to spend at most around $150 for someone to come visit my home and to help me. I am not comfortable with leaving the house with my baby to go somewhere to get lactation support help. My budget won’t allow me to spend more than $150 out of pocket for lactation support help to have someone come to my home.
