I believe birth is a sacred, God-given gift—a natural, physiological process that reflects the original design of women and babies: women are capable of giving birth, and babies know how to be born. My name is Monica Alejandra Latorre, and I am deeply passionate about women’s wellness, birth, and motherhood. As a traditional, faith-based birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, newborn care specialist, and fertility awareness educator, I bring over nine years of experience walking alongside women and families through life’s most tender transitions. My vocation is to mother the mother: supporting women as they reconnect with their innate feminine wisdom, dignity, and God-given strength. I believe birth is a holy rite of passage, and it is a profound honor to serve women and their families in these sacred spaces. With deep reverence, I offer my presence, guidance, and resources so that each mother feels supported, informed, and confident as she moves through her unique journey. It is a privilege to be invited into a mother’s birth story, to hold space with tenderness, and to walk alongside her through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My deepest hope is that every mother I serve finds her voice, trusts her intuition, and feels deeply connected to her body, her birth, and her baby.

Alejandra was amazing and such an essential part of me getting to know this beautiful extraordinary process that is bringing life to this earth through my body. Thank you so much for making me understand the beauty of birth. In a world full of fears and doubts. This is the most natural human process God designed us women to go through. Thanks again for being so attentive during the prenatal process and postnatal as well.

Alejandra was our birth and postpartum doula for the birth of my first son. She was so wonderful throughout the entire process, and I highly recommend her services. As part of our birth support package, we had several in person meetings at our home and communicated regularly via text and phone call. She is obviously very educated in her field, very detail oriented and open minded. She explained complex topics easily and helped leave space for any preference of my own while also educating me on certain positives and negatives of the multifaceted birth decision making process. She is calm, patient, and empathetic. She has a wonderful read of energy and people and was available to answer any and all of my questions while also providing further resources and outside references or recommendations. As a postpartum doula caring for our son, she was incredible. She provided calm consistent care and support for him for about 6 weeks post birth daily from 11-5pm and then again around 6months old. She is wondering with newborns - reading cues and educating moms on how to better understand their baby’s needs. She helped keep me hydrated, reminded me to nourish and re-fuel myself, and helped me navigate challenging postpartum emotions. She assisted in coaching baby wearing and helped educate me on how to better soothe and help my baby to sleep. I truly believe our baby is so happy and well-regulated because of her support! I cannot recommend her services enough. She is a lovely person who genuinely loves what she does and cares deeply for all the moms and babies she supports. She would be an asset to any family seeking support.

Highly Recommend - An Essential Part of Our Birth Journey We cannot recommend Aleja enough! From the very beginning, she took the time to truly get to know us and understand exactly what kind of birth my wife envisioned. When we were faced with a cholestasis diagnosis, it was a difficult and stressful situation to navigate. Aleja was incredible—she provided us with podcasts and evidence-based articles that helped us feel informed and empowered. Because of her guidance, we were able to safely advocate to extend the induction from 37 to 39 weeks, which made a huge difference for us. The induction itself was a success. While inductions are never easy, Aleja was there every step of the way, helping us advocate for the birth experience we wanted. She was always listening, supportive, and hands-on—from providing comfort through massages to helping us communicate effectively with the medical staff. (A special shout-out to Isa and Zoey at Mt. Sinai—we love you too!) Aleja was truly the best investment we made throughout this entire process. We are so grateful for her presence. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Aleja! We love you! ¡Gracias, gracias, gracias, Aleja! ¡Te queremos!

Alejandra was an angel sent to us. I was so nervous about the post partum period. Alejandra made the experience calm and less intimidating. She cared for our baby as if she was family so we could recuperate. She also made me homemade post partum teas and sitz bath. She offered both emotional and practical support. She is trained in both evidence based care and indigenous care which I think offers the best of all worlds. Her calming energy made us feel so comfortable in our baby bubble and calmed our beutiful baby. I would 1000% recommend.

Alejandra worked with us as a postpartum doula since our son was a newborn. From the start, she brought a sense of calm and confidence into our home. She patiently guided me through the challenges of breastfeeding and helped set me and baby up for success . Alejandra helped us develop good foundation and routine for our baby’s sleep and now our baby has been able to sleep through the night. She offered tips to soothe baby, manage gas and incorporate bottle feedings which allowed me time to rest during the night. On top of all this, Alejandra’s meal preparation was a lifesaver. She prepared delicious, nourishing meals that fueled my recovery and gave me more time to bond with my little one.If you’re considering postpartum doula care, I highly recommend this service.
