Tameka Barber is a wife, mother, Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula. Tameka has loved all things birth and baby related since childhood and after her own liberating pregnancy and birth experience, she knew it was time to step into her passion of birth-work. Tameka wants to remind women of their natural strength and empower them to step into motherhood with knowledge, autonomy, and confidence, creating a positive and empowering pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience.

Additional Postpartum Visits

For clients who have invested in a birth package and would like additional support in postpartum, hourly postpartum visits can be purchased at $25 an hour.

What to expect

My goal is to support mothers and families of all backgrounds through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I offer comfort measures, faith-based affirmation and scripture cards, birth plans, emotional and physical support, and advocacy to support your ideal birthing experience. Tameka was my doula for my second daughter’s birth. I had a traumatic experience delivering my first daughter, so I chose to have a doula for the birth of my second daughter. She was very helpful during my labor and postpartum. She helped instruct my husband on things he could do to help my pain. She also helped me to advocate for myself while I was in labor. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that is looking to have a doula.
