About Alex
My name is Alex Carpenter and I am a Doula located in Winston-Salem NC. I have a BS and M.Ed in special education and child development and over 5 years in the education field. After attempting to start my own family and going through several rounds of fertility treatment I decided to leave the education field and become a Doula. My goal is to be a support to all who are navigating fertility, pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I aim to be a support for those experiencing pregnancy and parenthood, being advocate for your wants and needs throughout the whole process.

Two 90 minute birth plan consultation and an additional 45 minute follow up 4 weeks from due date Biweekly communication starting 8 weeks from due date Weekly communication starting 4 weeks from due date to delivery 90 minute nesting session in order to help prep for delivery and after Dailey communication for two weeks after birth Birth support from start of labor until two hours after birth

Postpartum Care
Breastfeeding and bottle feeding support Helping you feel confident in your role as new parents Newborn cues Swaddling Diapering, bathing, and dressing baby Helping prepare light meals for you or the family Out of diapers and don’t feel like going to the store? We will happily run certain errands for you! Prices are based on location within 25 miles of 27106 area code Support is available for those outside of this range with a travel fee of 15 dollars for every 10 additional miles Nursery organization assistance Help organize your home for efficiency Need to get out of the house but don’t want to go it alone? Let’s go to lunch or head out shopping together! We can also accompany you to any doctor’s appointments you or your baby may have SLEEP! Enjoy a well-deserved nap while we care for your baby
