About Alex

I am alex (they/them) a Full Spectrum Doula based in Oak Park. I realized i wanted to be a doula after the birth of my first child. I learned the words "doula" and "midwife" for the first time while reading one of the many pregnancy books i stumbled across at a thrift store. Because of this book, i learned what birth (and parenting!) could look like with autonomy and empowerment. I knew i had to help make this support accessible to more people. I have taken multiple doula trainings and have acquired a wide range of skills. It is important to me that i continue to learn and practice ways to be an inclusive reproductive specialist, supporting all pregnant, birthing and lactating people throughout their journey. - Madriella Doula Training - Daisy CHAIN Full Spectrum Doula Certified - The Matrona Holistic Doula Certified - Community Doula Project Birth Doula Certified - LER Certified Lactation Specialist I am a Full Spectrum Doula and i am passionate about being present for folks through their postpartum experience; whenever and however their pregnancy may end.
