When i first learned how complex a woman’s body is and the incredible things it could do at a young age i was so intrigued. i knew i wanted to deal with birth/ small children as i loved them so much. becoming a doula has been inspiring and magical for me. i love helping women become mothers and being able to be apart of the big transition whether your a first time parent or a sixth time parent, each person and each birth/child is different and that’s what makes being a doula so amazing. you get to experience something different everytime.

Throughout my experience as a doula, I’ve come to deeply understand that a woman’s birth story becomes a powerful and lasting part of who she is. My goal is to help each woman and her partner create a birth plan that makes them feel confident and supported as they prepare for labor and birth. Growing up I wanted to be a labor and delivery nurse. When I became an adult I realized the medical field was not for me. I worked at a daycare in the infant room for 2 years. After that I worked as a chiropractic assistant for 2 years. My favorite part of the job was working with pregnant women and infants. It wasn’t until after I was done having babies that I discovered just what a doula does. I was immediately convinced that I found my calling. I have always loved all things birth and motherhood. Hi, I’m Nicole! I was born in Houston but raised in Chireno, a small East Texas town just outside of Nacogdoches, and this area has always been home to me. For the past eight years, I’ve owned and managed a cosmetic store in downtown Nacogdoches, and before that, I worked as a CNA for three years. As well as a substitute teacher at a preschool for a year. Looking back, caring for and connecting with people has always been at the heart of what I do. My love for birth work really began after supporting my best friend during her birth in 2024, but watching my sister give birth alongside her doula in March 2026 truly confirmed that this was where my heart belonged. That experience inspired me to start The Nurtured Nest, where I provide birth and postpartum doula support to families in East Texas. My goal is simply to help families feel calm, informed, heard, and genuinely cared for during such an important season of their lives.
