Growing up I wanted to be a labor and delivery nurse. When I became an adult I realized the medical field was not for me. I worked at a daycare in the infant room for 2 years. After that I worked as a chiropractic assistant for 2 years. My favorite part of the job was working with pregnant women and infants. It wasn’t until after I was done having babies that I discovered just what a doula does. I was immediately convinced that I found my calling. I have always loved all things birth and motherhood. For the past eight years, I’ve owned and managed a cosmetic store in downtown Nacogdoches, and before that, I worked as a CNA for three years. As well as a substitute teacher at a preschool for a year. Looking back, caring for and connecting with people has always been at the heart of what I do. My love for birth work really began after supporting my best friend during her birth in 2024, but watching my sister give birth alongside her doula in March 2026 truly confirmed that this was where my heart belonged.
