About Amber

Hi there! I’m Amber, a new doula based in Athens, Georgia, serving families across Northeast and Middle, rural Georgia. My calling is to walk alongside women in the tender postpartum season, as I believe this is a time that deserves gentleness, grace, and true support. I believe that rest is one of the most essential (and overlooked) parts of healing and adjusting to motherhood. My goal is to make that rest possible by tending to the practical and emotional needs that often go unnoticed. This can look like helping with household tasks and baby care to offering a listening ear when you need to talk. What makes my approach unique is my background and training as a mental health counselor. I provide not only hands-on care, but also a safe, nonjudgmental space for mothers to process their emotions, which may include joy, overwhelm, and everything in between. My heart is to help you feel seen, supported, and strengthened as you ease into this new chapter!

What to expect

My postpartum doula package includes: Newborn Support -Feeding, diaper changes, and establishing comfort routines (overnights available as well) -Dressing, bathing, swaddling -washing bottles, pumps, etc. & keeping the baby's nursery tidy Emotional support -Emotional Processing of pregnancy, labor, & postpartum -Coping skills, visualization techniques, debriefing -Prayer & Scripture Meditation Physical support -Nourishing meals (herbal teas, protein-rich meals, meal prep.) -Household care (laundry, dishes, cleaning, etc.) -Self-Care: postpartum herbal baths Education -Referrals: doctors, midwives, lactation consultants, etc. -Informational Handouts/Resources about the postpartum season
