About me

Hi, I’m Anisha, a birth doula and the owner of Womb 360. For over 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting families through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum period. My approach to doula care is centered around making sure you feel informed, heard, supported, and confident in the decisions you make for your birth. I believe every family deserves to understand their options and have someone in their corner who can provide calm, nonjudgmental support throughout the experience. Whether you’re preparing for your first birth, hoping for a different experience this time around, feeling overwhelmed by all the decisions, or simply want an experienced support person by your side, I meet you where you are. I provide in-person birth support throughout the DMV area as well as virtual doula support. Through Womb 360, I also offer personalized birth planning and pregnancy education to help families feel prepared long before labor begins. Birth can be unpredictable, but you shouldn’t have to walk into it feeling unprepared. I’d be honored to be part of your support team.

Anisha is an angel. I had some wonderful moments with her. As a first-time mom, she really helped me understand many things before and after giving birth. Nobody really talks about having someone there to help you prep and provide education on the birthing experience. With so many horror stories and misinformation going around, the whole process can feel daunting. Making the decision to have a doula was one for the books!! My birthing experience was incredibly positive, and having a doula by my side made such a meaningful difference. She advocated for me throughout the entire process, helped me understand my options, and made sure my concerns and preferences were heard and respected. Having someone there who supported my voice allowed me to feel more confident, informed, and in control of my birth experience. I truly felt supported, seen, and empowered during such an important moment in my life. That’s just speaking of the actual day itself. The meetings before hand to answer any and all questions that I had as a first time mother made me feel comfortable and confident in this journey. Do you accept payment plans?

Yes! Flexible payment options are available, allowing you to break the cost of your doula package into manageable payments rather than paying the full amount upfront. Feel free to reach out for more information about payment options.

What insurances do you accept?

I accept Maryland Medicaid and CareFirst insurance plans for eligible doula services. Coverage and benefits may vary by plan, so I’m happy to help you determine whether your doula services may be covered.

When should I hire a doula?

You can hire a doula at any point during pregnancy, but booking earlier gives us more time to build our relationship and prepare together. Availability is limited around each estimated due date, so I recommend reaching out as soon as you know you’d like doula support.

What happens if I have an epidural? Can a doula still help me?

Absolutely! Doula support is valuable with or without an epidural. I can help with positioning, comfort, emotional support, communication, partner support, and navigating your birth preferences throughout labor.

Will you support me if I want a medicated birth or induction?

Yes. My role is not to choose your birth for you. I provide education, support, and help you understand your options so you can make informed decisions that feel right for you.

Do you replace my partner during labor?

Not at all! If you have a partner or support person, my role is to work alongside them, not replace them. I can help them feel more confident and involved by suggesting comfort techniques, positions, and ways to support you throughout labor. If your partner prefers not to be hands-on, that’s perfectly okay too. I can provide the hands-on comfort measures and physical support while your partner supports you in the way that feels most comfortable for them. And if you don’t have a partner or support person, I can step into that supportive role so you don’t have to navigate labor alone. The goal is simple: making sure you feel continuously supported, cared for, and never alone.

What happens if I need a C-section?

Your support doesn’t suddenly stop because your birth plan changes. I continue providing emotional support, preparation, information, and postpartum support within the hospital’s policies and what is appropriate for your individual situation.

Can you help me create a birth plan?

Yes. Birth preparation is an important part of my doula support. We’ll discuss your preferences, common birth options and interventions, questions to ask your provider, comfort measures, newborn preferences, and what matters most to you so you can go into birth feeling informed and prepared.

What areas do you serve?

I provide in-person doula support throughout the DMV area and virtual support for families outside of the area.

What makes Womb 360 different.

At Womb 360, doula care is deeply personal. I have a natural ability to connect with people in a way that can make it feel less like you hired a professional and more like you have a trusted friend or sister right there beside you. I genuinely love and care for my clients like family, while still bringing more than 10 years of experience, knowledge, and professionalism into the birth space. I’m also not afraid to speak up. While I don’t make medical decisions or speak for you, I will help make sure your voice is heard, remind you of your preferences, encourage you to ask questions, and help you slow things down when you need time to understand your options. I’m intentional about the environment, too. Hospital rooms can feel bright, sterile, and overwhelming, but I have a gift for transforming that space into a peaceful birth oasis using lighting, calming sounds, aromatherapy when permitted, affirmations, and other personal touches that help you feel safe, grounded, and comfortable. Most importantly, I meet you where you are. There is no “right” way to give birth at Womb 360. Whether you want an unmedicated birth, an epidural, an induction, or your plans completely change along the way, you will be supported without judgment. You’re not just another birth on my calendar. When I walk into your birth space, I’m there to care for you, protect the energy in the room, and make sure you never feel like you’re navigating one of the biggest moments of your life alone.

What are the benefits of postpartum yoni steaming?

What are the benefits of postpartum yoni steaming? As a Certified Yoni Steam Facilitator, I offer postpartum yoni steaming as a traditional wellness practice once postpartum bleeding has ended and steaming is appropriate. Yoni steaming provides soothing warmth that can encourage relaxation, pelvic comfort, increased circulation, and a sense of reconnection with your body after childbirth. Traditionally, postpartum steaming has also been used with the intention of supporting uterine recovery, easing postpartum discomfort, and supporting the body’s natural postpartum cleansing process. Beyond the physical experience, it creates an intentional moment for rest, restoration, and self-care during a time when so much attention is focused on the new baby.
