Her passion and dedication inspired me to pay it forward and become a lactation consultant myself. For the past 4.5 years, I've been proudly serving as a CLC, and I recently sat for the IBCLC exam in April 2024. With a holistic approach to lactation support, I believe in empowering moms and reminding them that they're doing an incredible job, even when the journey gets tough. I am a certified midwife in both Europe and the US, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and a Natural Family Planning coach with the Marquette Method. With over 20 years of experience in holistic birth, I’ve worked in Belgium, France, and the US, including hospitals, private practice, and Birthing Center. ​ My husband and I moved from France to Austin, Texas, in 2012 with our two eldest children, and our youngest son was born right here in Austin. Talk about a Texan welcome! I’m also a certified Haptotherapist, having received my certification from CIRDH in 2012. Haptonomy, widely used in Europe, helps parents-to-be function as partners in parenting before birth. Amanda "Mandy" Wilson is a registered nurse and IBCLC whose path into lactation grew from both her work in Labor & Delivery and her own breastfeeding experience after the birth of her first son in 2015. She became an IBCLC in 2021 after several years of helping new parents with breastfeeding in the hospital setting. Mandy takes a conservative, individualized approach to feeding support. She focuses on helping families understand their options, simplify what feels overwhelming, and choose strategies that fit their goals and circumstances. She values responsive care, practical positioning support, and using feeding tools only when they are genuinely useful. Her nursing background also informs her ability to recognize when collaboration with other medical professionals is appropriate. Outside of work, Mandy is an avid runner and has spent many years meeting her running group for long Saturday morning runs.

Kyna's journey to becoming a revered IBCLC mirrors her deep commitment to nurturing mothers and their babies. Rooted in her academic prowess and driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference, her story is a testament to her unyielding dedication. Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Science-Nutrition and Foods, Kyna embarked on her career as a Nutritionist for the Woman Infant and Children Program (WIC) in 2003. It was within this role that her passion for helping babies and mothers ignited, as she provided breastfeeding counseling and taught essential breastfeeding classes. Earning her stripes as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant in 2009, Kyna's commitment to excellence shone bright. Her career took her to the neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) in the Austin area, where she supported parents and their precious newborns during vulnerable times. In 2012, Kyna brought her expertise to The Woman’s Hospital of Texas (TWHT), where she played a pivotal role in shaping breastfeeding training for the nursing staff, a critical step towards achieving the Baby-Friendly (BFHI) designation. Her contributions exemplified her dedication to fostering successful breastfeeding practices.

With five years of experience under my belt, I've honed my skills through various classes and certifications, including Masterclass, Gut Brain, and Older Baby courses. This, coupled with my Bachelor of Science degree and Registered Lactation Consultant (RLC) certification, allows me to provide comprehensive and holistic lactation support. Based in Sugar Land, I happily serve families in surrounding areas like Missouri City, Richmond, Rosenberg, and Bellaire. And yes, I offer virtual visits too, because accessibility is key to supporting families wherever they are. My journey began in New Orleans where I graduated from LSU Health Sciences Center’s School of Nursing. My love for Maternal-Child Health truly blossomed after witnessing a Midwife-assisted delivery while in nursing school. From an RN at The Birthing Place at Tulane University Hospital and Clinic, to volunteering post-Hurricane Katrina, and moving to Houston pregnant with my twins, my passion for supporting moms intensified during my tenure at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas. I soon realized teaching was my calling. 🍎 As a Certified Childbirth Educator, teaching an array of topics from Infant CPR to Marvelous Multiples, I specialize in empowering parents. And my own NICU journey with my preterm twins fueled my commitment to lactation support. In 2014, I became a Certified Lactation Counselor, and soon after, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Contributing to The Woman’s Hospital of Texas becoming the first Baby-Friendly Hospital in Houston is a badge of honor for me. My heart is with the fierce moms and their tiny NICU warriors. As a mother of two boys, whom I breastfed for over a year, I developed a deep passion for breastfeeding. This passion led me to earn my IBCLC credentials. Hello, my name is Deborah "Mercy" and I’m a Registered Nurse and IBCLC, and a mom of three, who is passionate about supporting families through the ups and downs of feeding. I know how overwhelming this stage can feel, and my goal is to provide real, practical, judgment-free support that helps parents feel confident and supported in whatever feeding journey works best for them.

Claire Jacot is an IBCLC who works with families through both straightforward and complex feeding challenges. Her areas of interest include latch difficulties, painful nursing, slow weight gain, milk-supply concerns, bottle refusal, pumping, supplementation, weaning, and feeding concerns related to oral function. Claire's approach is individualized and collaborative. She helps families build feeding plans around their goals, values, and day-to-day realities rather than assuming there is one right way to feed a baby. When additional expertise is needed, she values coordinated care with professionals such as bodyworkers, ENTs, pediatric dentists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and mental health providers. She appreciates holistic approaches while also recognizing the role of conventional medical care when appropriate. Faith and family are important parts of Claire's life, and she brings warmth and humor to her work with parents.

Alicia Gaber, BSN, RN, IBCLC, is a registered nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant who became an IBCLC in 2023. Her path into lactation care began with her own challenging breastfeeding experience. Compassionate, skilled lactation support not only improved her baby's feeding journey but also transformed her experience of early motherhood. Inspired by that experience, Alicia completed the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant program through the University of California San Diego and has since dedicated her career to helping families achieve their feeding goals with confidence and support. Alicia brings a broad and thoughtful perspective to her work. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Oberlin College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, with professional experience in women's healthcare and reproductive health. She is passionate about helping families understand the "why" behind feeding challenges, identify the issues that matter most, and create individualized solutions that fit their unique circumstances. Her clinical interests include supporting families experiencing low milk supply, oversupply, exclusive pumping, oral tether concerns, and breastfeeding challenges related to functional maternal health, including autoimmune conditions and hormonal imbalances. Alicia enjoys working through complex feeding situations and helping parents develop practical, sustainable strategies that align with their family's goals. Alicia is LGBTQ+ inclusive, and she warmly welcomes families of all structures, identities, and feeding goals. She believes every family deserves evidence-based care, respect, and support as they navigate their own feeding journey. Alicia provides home visits for families inside the Loop as well as in Bellaire, Tanglewood, and Meyerland. She is committed to meeting families where they are in their feeding journey and providing personalized care that supports both parent and baby.
