Tamara Niedermann

hi! i’m tamara niedermann, owner and creator of the kindred feminine. i’m a witness and student of birth and birthing people and it’s an honor to be invited into your birth story. i’ve always known i’m at my best when i’m in support of the people around me. that desire for deep relationship is what has guided my journey to birth work, herbalism, and supporting the birthing and bleeding people in my community. when my younger sister and her husband started their parenting journey, she started sharing the things she was learning about pregnancy and labor. as i watched her pregnancy unfold i learned there was another way. it took the books and documentaries i found, and new perspectives i was learning to show me that doulas, and midwives, and placentas, and breastfeeding, and herbal baths are all a beautiful and sacred part of pregnancy and birth. since then, a deep passion has grown from within me to teach others this new way to know our bodies, experience our menstrual cycles, and conceive and birth our babies. the kindred feminine serves all birthing and bleeding people through education; teaching bodily literacy, contraception, or conception through the fertility awareness method, and pregnancy and childbirth education; walking alongside people in their conception journeys, and in their pregnancies and their births; and creating medicine through processing placentas and herbal offerings. i'm a bisexual cis woman of color who uses the pronouns she, hers, and her. i’m a newlywed in my thirties. i'm the daughter of an immigrant single mother. i acknowledge that Black, Indigenous, People of color (BIPOC) have much worse reproductive outcomes than their white counterparts. i'm an advocate for all birthing people no matter their race, sexuality, gender, or size. i'm a birth keeper, and an herbalist. i make placenta and herbal medicine, and hold space for those who i have the privilege of serving. grace and peace and many blessings on you.

I don't even know if I can truly put into words just how thankful I am for Andie and her family of doulas at Little Blue Elephant... but I'll try. Being a new mum to a beautiful little girl, living on the other side of the world with no village, support or family and a husband that travels weekly for work - it's easy to feel overwhelmed, tired, anxious and honestly, a little bit lonely at times. My husband hiring Andie to help postpartum, has been the best decision we could've possibly made. I often tell Andie that she is a real life angel. Watching her, and honestly, her whole entire family, be so calm, nurturing, attentive and kind to my daughter at every single interaction, always makes me feel so at ease that she is being cared for by the very best while I get a restful night's sleep. The way Andie has held and continues to hold me and my family during postpartum has been nothing short of amazing and I will be forever grateful for her. From advice on c section recovery, feeding, burping, pumping, reflux, gas, bathing, diaper rash, naps, schedules and more - she always goes above and beyond and has always offered a wealth of knowlege, without judgement, while confidently answering any question or concern I may have. Washing and sterilizing bottles and pump parts, folding baby girl's laundry, labeling bottles, feeding and soothing my daughter to sleep throughout the night, changing diapers, administering medicine or cream if needed and taking the time to really check in with me mentally each visit... The care is truly second to none. Andie and her family have become my villiage and I couldn't be any more grateful for each and every one of them. Andie always arrives early and is willing to do an extra shift or stay a little longer or start earlier at short notice if needed... I know that I can always count on her which can be really rare to find. She's super accommodating, incredibly reliable and has amazing communication skills - sending overnight reports via text as soon as she leaves in the morning so I know exactly how my daughter's night went and when she is due to wake, feed and be changed next. Andie truly is just an all round wonderful human to be around and her care extends well beyond just getting a restful night's sleep. I always look forward to having a chat with her when she arrives, not just about giving her updates on my daughter, but as a friend catching eachother up on how the week's been and what is going on in our lives... something that has really been invaluable for my mental health postpartum and living so far away from home and family. Andie is our regular postpartum doula each week but I have also had the pleasure of meeting and working with all the doulas from Little Blue Elephant - Jamie, Ali and Aleks... all of which have been just as wonderful, and I also feel like it needs a mention, that every single one of these ladies have been incredibly kind to our animals too. I will never forget Jamie's kindness the first night of having overnight care. She was warm and kind and sat with me for almost an hour talking about my birth and genuinely wanting to know how I was feeling mentally. She gave me comfort and reassurance when I needed it most and she made me feel so safe that I genuinely felt like I was chatting to an old friend. In between taking care of my daughter and loving on her, she also took the time to make me a personalized Amazon store front so that I could easily look at items to purchase that she felt might help me and my daughter. Since then, Andie has also added to the store front with many other great reccomendations. I appreciated this so much as being a new mum, I didn't have the time to do this myself, nor did I know what I should be looking for. Jamie still checks in every now and then to ask about how my daughter is doing and wishes me happy holidays - and every time it makes me feel so special to be thought of and cared for. She has an incredibly kind heart and what a joy it is to be around her... what a joy it is to be around them all. I cannot sing the praises of each one of these ladies enough. If we get so blessed to have another child, I've already told Andie that I want her by my side for the entire journey - from prenatal to the birth to postpartum. I value and trust Andie and her wonderful family implicitly, and would not only highly reccomend their postpartum doula service, but also every single other service they have to offer. Thank you for absolutely everything, Andie. I literally don't know what I would do without you.

Hey Y'all, My name is Kara. I fell in love with the idea of helping families during their birth and postpartum journey after having Ovarian Cancer, and having a total hysterectomy. Although I was no longer able to physically have any more children, I realized so many families lack the support they need and want to bring their babies into this world. Nor do they have the support those crucial first few month once baby is home. I include the entire family during each process. Whether it's parents, siblings, or even fur babies. I would love to help set the foundation that will carry your family through this incredible journey by building a strong relationship of trust and guidance. My knowledge includes, but is not limited to lactation, childbirth education, breastfeeding , massage therapy, infant care, birth, and postpartum services and procedures. I recognize that every individual and every birth is unique, and I strive to create a customized birth plan that aligns with your preferences, values, and desires. Whether you are planning a natural birth, a water birth, or a medically-assisted birth, I will work closely with you and your healthcare team to ensure that your needs are met and your voice is heard. My goal is to empower you with evidence-based information and emotional support, helping you navigate the various stages of labor with confidence and peace of mind. By choosing me as your doula, you can rest assured that you will receive unwavering support, advocacy, and guidance throughout your entire journey. I know that choosing a doula for your birth and postpartum experience is a decision that can greatly enhance and empower your journey into parenthood, and I am dedicated to providing unparalleled support and care. As a trained and experienced doula, I bring a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and a deep understanding of the physical and emotional aspects of childbirth and everything encompassing postpartum. Hey New Friend I’m Justine, your new friend, your cheerleader, your support, and your added strength from your Baby Bump, Beyond Birth journey. You’ll find me filling many roles as a wife, mother of 3, early childhood enthusiast, and dedicated doula that loves photographing cherished moments throughout Central Florida. Some say a doula is a luxury, however for many it’s a necessity! I became a doula because I realized how many women/birthing persons are without support or a village to help them through what could be the most beautiful yet scariest time of their life. At Baby Bumps, Beyond Birth, we believe that every individual deserves a birth experience that honors their autonomy, dignity, and unique story. We are dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care that nurtures the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. Through education, compassion, and individualized support, my mission is to support and uplift birthing individuals and their families, fostering a safe, informed, and empowered experience from pregnancy to parenthood.

Hello, my name is Vonda Osborn and I am the owner of Baby Bump Birthing Services. I service the Orlando and central Florida area. I have 6 children of my own and truly love helping other moms navigate the journey of pregnancy, labor, postpartum and motherhood. I am a completely judgement free zone. What ever you are hoping for your birth I want to help achieve it. My motto is your baby, your body my support. In my free time I enjoy event organizing and just being with my family.

Recent review

My husband and I decided to hire a doula a little bit reluctantly, not really knowing what we needed or how beneficial it would be. When I met Vonda, I immediately got this sense that she was caring and compassionate but yet also very competent and confident in her work as a Doula. This gave me so much comfort, and regardless of whether our goal was to deliver at home, a birth center, or hospital, she was willing to support us and our choices and not try to impose opinions on us unless we asked for them (which was huge since opinions can run very strong and extreme on opposite spectrums in the birth world). What I loved most about the idea of hiring her, beyond being able to trust her and know she was for us, was that she would be the consistency in my care from prenatal to delivery to postpartum. This birth was going to be with my second child but I was hoping to have a successful VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) birth, so everything about labor and birth would be a new experience for me. She met with us twice during my 3rd trimester. Those meetings were incredibly informative and brought us so much peace leading up to what was foreign territory to us. She talked with us about our birth plan and let us know what our options were, taught my husband and I physical comfort techniques that could be helpful during labor, and also educated us on the birth process and what would happen to my body and with the baby during the process. Having the ability to contact her anytime after we hired her to get her input and feedback was so helpful. My husband wanted to be as involved and helpful to me as he could but he also didn't know what to expect and I didn't know what I would need, He really appreciated everything Vonda taught us beforehand, but then also having her with us during the birth to help him help me and to be our voice at the hospital since she knew our wishes and could speak for us while my mind was focused on having a baby and my husband was focused on me. Aspects of everything she prepared us for came into play when labor started, and I can't imagine going through labor and birth without having been as prepared as I felt, even when I still didn't know what to expect. Hiring Vonda as our Doula was worth every penny! I would highly recommend her to any mama AND her support person. She was there for me AND my husband, and if we did it again, we'd definitely have Vonda with us!
