I would like to have as least medical interventions as possible however while still in a hospital setting in case it is medically necessary to intervene. I would like to have a doula for supporting my husband and I in preparation for this to be possible as well as postpartum support to help me get settled in as a new mother healing from birthing. I don’t have a set budget as I am unaware of the costs that go into this. But we are willing to work towards meeting our needs. I would like to be informed of all my childbirth options, like how much is covered through my insurance, maternity leave and childcare for when I return to work. I am covered through Blue Shield Trio HMO and have a medical group called Optum Network Inland Valley.

As a new mom, I am seeking information about childbirth education, labor preparation, comfort techniques, and advocacy. Aside from physical comfort, I want emotional support during pregnancy and motherhood. Due to co-parenting, I want someone who encourages healthy communication, respects both parents' roles, and helps us work together for the child's best interests. During labor, I’m looking for someone calm and supportive who can help me advocate for myself, ask questions, and help me process decisions without pressure unless medically necessary. Postpartum support is my biggest priority. I would like help with recovery, breastfeeding/pumping support, newborn guidance, emotional reassurance, and preparing to return to work as an elementary teacher. I am hoping to breastfeed/pump and would value someone knowledgeable about lactation and pumping for working moms. I am open to holistic approaches as long as they are grounded in research and evidence-based care. I am not looking for an anti-medical approach and am comfortable with hospital care and interventions when medically necessary. Hi! I’m a 21-year-old married mom of a 2-year-old, currently pregnant with my second baby and going through a separation from my husband. I’m a Christian, and I’m really looking for a doula who can support me physically, emotionally, and spiritually throughout this pregnancy and birth. I’m hoping to have an unmedicated, natural birth and would love to learn breathing techniques, labor positions, and different coping strategies to help me prepare. I’m honestly scared, and one of my biggest goals is to have a positive birth experience and to avoid tearing entirely if possible. I want to learn everything I can to prepare my body and reduce my risk of tearing. I also want to learn more about nutrition during pregnancy, including organic foods and understanding healthy versus less-healthy carbohydrates. I plan to breastfeed again and would love support with preparing for that as well. I also have questions about healthy weight management during pregnancy and postpartum and would love guidance on how to safely care for my body while making sure my baby is properly nourished. My husband and I are separated, but I would like him to be able to learn how to support me during pregnancy and birth if he is willing. I would appreciate a doula who can help educate both of us on what genuine, respectful support can look like during labor and delivery. As a Black mother and woman, I’m also very aware of the disparities and racism Black women can face within the healthcare system. Having someone who can advocate for me, help me understand my options, and make sure my voice is heard and respected during such a vulnerable experience is extremely important to me. I really want to feel safe, informed, empowered, and supported throughout this journey.
