Now serving families across Muskoka, I offer holistic, trauma-aware support through fertility, pregnancy, loss, abortion, adoption or surrogacy, birth, and postpartum. My philosophy is simple: every journey is unique. I provide personalized, non-judgmental care rooted in trust, informed choice, and relationship-building — creating a space where you can feel confident, encouraged, and fully supported every step of the way.

Hello! My name is Alysa! I am a mother, photographer, and faith-based, holistic-minded birth/postpartum doula working towards my certification. I have completed my trainings and am ready to start serving families! I provide support for labor, birth, and postpartum as well as birth planning services here in the WNY area. I am passionate about not only empowering birth, but empowering women as a whole. Our bodies are temples, birth is sacred, a natural physiological process that God created us to do! This process shouldn’t be feared, but respected and supported! Motherhood can be intimidating, even if this isn’t your first time around. I am a DONA-trained Postpartum Doula and owner of Sage Support. No experience of my life has been as foundation-rattling as having my first child. My husband and I lived far from family and friends, and - like most - our family had other day-to-day responsibilities that kept them busy. Add in a (short) NICU stay, early feeding challenges, and insufficient paternity leave, and I was a mess. In those early days, in between visits from our mothers and sisters, I constructed a tiny village of “nice ladies” - lactation consultants, speech language pathologists, a weekly breastfeeding group, and a psychologist - to put myself back together and stabilize my daughter’s eating. I believe that our country needs significant policy changes that better support families, birthing people, and infants. In the meantime, postpartum doulas can help fill that gap. I went through DONA postpartum doula and breastfeeding training in January 2021, and I’m working on the final requirements to be fully certified. I will work hard to support your family and refer you to other evidence-based professionals.

I am a certified birth doula, with special training in VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) and am also a Certified Lactation Counselor. I became a doula after my own empowering births and felt a calling to support families throughout birth and breastfeeding. Being a guide as one navigates the unknowns and weighs the decisions of birth is one of my greatest honors, next to being a mother.
