Service introduction

As a Certified Labor Doula, I provide radical advocacy along with physical, emotional and informational support to mamas and their husbands/birth partners throughout pregnancy and birth. Prenatally, I assist families in acquiring information about all their options with unlimited phone/email contact and two in-person prenatal meetings. During labor, I provide continuous emotional support, assist with comfort measures, guide partners through their supportive roles, and encourage self advocacy. I support home and hospital births. I remain with families up to two hours after delivery to ensure they are settled and ready for bonding time alone. When needed, I assist with initial breastfeeding. Around 2-5 weeks postpartum, I visit clients in their homes. This visit allow you to discuss your birth, ask me any questions about it, your postpartum healing, or your baby, as well as for you to provide honest feedback, and of course, to admire your baby. I offer three payment options. They are listed in detail in the contract we sign together. My range of service is the East Central Alabama area. I primarily serve Birmingham in Jefferson County, St. Clair, Etowah, Calhoun, Talladega, parts of Shelby and Clay counties, and surrounding areas. If you are in or around these areas, I can serve you! If you aren’t, please reach out, as I would be thrilled to connect you with a doula local to your area.
