I am looking for a compassionate and emotionally supportive doula who can help me feel calm and confident throughout the rest of my pregnancy, labor, and early postpartum period. My biggest need is emotional support. I have been experiencing anxiety and fear about childbirth, and I would like someone who can provide reassurance, help me stay grounded, explain what is happening during labor, and guide me through breathing, relaxation, and coping techniques. I plan to give birth at a birth center with a midwife and hope to have an unmedicated, low-intervention birth if it is safe for me and my baby. I would like continuous labor support and someone who can advocate for my birth preferences while helping me make informed decisions if unexpected situations arise. I would prefer a doula who has experience supporting first-time mothers and is patient, gentle, non-judgmental, and a good communicator. Speaking Mandarin Chinese is a strong plus, but not required. After birth, I would appreciate some emotional check-ins, breastfeeding encouragement, and practical guidance during the first few days. I am mainly looking for emotional support rather than housekeeping or sleep training.

I'm looking for a patient-centered doula who can advocate for my needs on delivery day. I want an easeful, peaceful birth where I can feel like my needs are fully heard. I haven't had the best experience with my Kaiser doctors thus far. I'll be delivering at Kaiser Sunset (I am a Kaiser patient so would need someone who takes KP insurance). Birth plan is low intervention/no rush, epidural.

I plan to give birth at the Kaiser Baldwin Park hospital (Los Angeles county). I am looking for care that is fully covered by my Kaiser insurance. My birth plan is still in work, but I would generally am ideally looking for a physiological/ low-intervention birth. I value an evidence-based approach and someone who is highly collaborative with hospital nursing staff, so experience at Kaiser Baldwin Park would be a big plus. My Anthem Gold PPO insurance officially activates on August 1st. I'd like to match and secure a doula now so that all of my care and the birth can be billed directly to Anthem once my coverage starts. My budget is under $2,000. I plan on birthing in San Antonio Regional Hospital in Upland CA. I would like to have as least medical interventions as possible however while still in a hospital setting in case it is medically necessary to intervene. I would like to have a doula for supporting my husband and I in preparation for this to be possible as well as postpartum support to help me get settled in as a new mother healing from birthing. I don’t have a set budget as I am unaware of the costs that go into this. But we are willing to work towards meeting our needs.
