My experience as a Doula dates back to when I supported family and friends, unknowingly providing post-partum and supportive care. I've worked in the healthcare field for 15 (+) years at various hospitals & clinics, specifically in women's reproductive health. Having worked in both the private & public sectors of healthcare, I realized I wanted to not only support but advocate for those who could not speak out for themselves, all while being a source to women that needed resources. I didn't realize that all of this would bring me full circle to my purpose of becoming a doula! I've worked with women and families, providing evidence-based support for labor, post-partum, mental, & spiritual needs. From the start of my career as a Physician Assistant, I was drawn to pediatrics and the mother-baby dyad. My PA journey kicked off on the pediatric ward at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, NY, where I was completely captivated by caring for children and families. Then, life brought me to Central NJ, where I had the opportunity to work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, caring for some of the tiniest, most vulnerable patients.
