The cost of a midwife in Broken Arrow, OK can be influenced by several factors:

  • Type of Midwife

Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) who work in hospital settings may have different pricing than Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs) who attend home births or birth center deliveries.

  • Birth Setting

Hospital births with a midwife typically cost less out-of-pocket when covered by insurance, while home births and birth center deliveries may have different fee structures.

  • Scope of Services

Many midwives offer comprehensive packages that include prenatal visits, labor and delivery support, and postpartum care, which can affect the overall cost.

  • Insurance Coverage

Whether insurance covers the cost of a midwife in Broken Arrow, OK, depends on your specific insurance plan and the midwife's credentials. Many insurance plans cover midwifery services, especially if the midwife is a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) who is licensed and works within a hospital or birthing center. However, coverage may vary for services provided by Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs) or midwives operating in home birth settings. It is essential to contact your insurance provider to confirm what is covered under your plan, including any in-network requirements, pre-authorization, or out-of-pocket costs. Additionally, check with the midwife or birthing center directly to see if they accept insurance or offer payment plans.

  • Experience and Specialization

Midwives with extensive experience, additional certifications, or specializations such as VBAC support or water birth may charge higher rates.

  • Geographic Location

Midwifery costs can vary based on the cost of living and demand for midwifery services in your specific area.

When considering hiring a midwife in Broken Arrow, OK, it's advisable to research and interview several midwives to find one who aligns with your birth plan, preferences, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services, insurance acceptance, and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs.

Veronica was a great support throughout my pregnancy and birth. She was always available to answer questions, talk through concerns, and help me feel more prepared and confident. Even though my birth didn't go as planned, her presence was reassuring and appreciated. I am a little disappointed i didn’t get enough pictures or a video of my birth however, Overall I'm grateful for her support and would recommend her to other moms

She was truly a blessing during my pregnancy and birth. From the moment we met, she filled me with positive affirmations that helped me feel calm and confident—especially while I was giving birth. This was the easiest birth I’ve ever had, thanks to the exercises she taught me before labor started. She also gave me helpful resources to keep me and my family safe. And I absolutely love the nourishing recipes she shared for my postpartum recovery—they made me feel cared for and supported.

Isabel Lindsey

Packages from $250

Hi women and families! My name is Isabel Lindsey. I'm a full-spectrum holistic birth and postpartum doula serving NE Oklahoma. I am passionate about physiologic birth and believe birth works best when it is left undisturbed with the support of trusted loved ones. I also believe in the importance of honoring the mother through her fourth trimester by providing nourishing meals, light household help, and gentle self care rituals. I truly love what I do! In my freetime, I'm making herbal remedies, playing volleyball, or sunbathing.

Recent review

Isabel was an incredible support for our family during the early weeks after our baby arrived. She was a huge help with many household tasks that made our days so much easier. She helped keep our home running smoothly by assisting with laundry, dishes, tidying up the kitchen, and making delicious meals. These small but important tasks made a big difference and allowed us to focus more on bonding with our baby and getting the rest we needed. Her willingness to step in and help wherever needed showed how thoughtful and dedicated she is. Beyond the practical help, she brought such a calm and positive energy into our home. We truly appreciated her reliability, kindness, and the way she supported our entire household during such a special but exhausting time. We would absolutely recommend her to any family looking for a caring and dependable postpartum caretaker.

We cannot recommend Frankie enough. She began caring for our son when he was just a few weeks old, initially providing overnight care, and later transitioned into caring for him during the day as he grew. From the very beginning, Frankie was approachable, easy to communicate with, and incredibly supportive. She cared deeply about our son and always prioritized his safety and well-being. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in her care and truly trusted her with our child. Frankie is extremely knowledgeable and offered thoughtful advice and guidance through every stage—from those early newborn days through toddlerhood—which was invaluable to us as new parents. Her calm, nurturing presence and professionalism made such a difference for our family. We are so grateful for the care she provided and would highly recommend Frankie to any family looking for someone trustworthy, experienced, and genuinely invested in the children she cares for!

10/10 doesn’t even explain how happy I was with Ashley! I met her when I was in my mid 30s week pregnant. I was honestly terrified as I was so close to having my little but I had no idea what to expect. Ashley literally jumped right in without any hesitation and got a full work up for the hospital on my wishes and very thing. A few weeks later I had 2 Braxton hicks crazy almost labor pains and Ashley was there. Because thank god let’s be honest it was terrifying Fast forward to labor. I was induced and it took 36 long hours.. with no progression. She was my ROCK during it all even being turned around and moved every 30 minutes due to having a epidural. Even while being away from her OWN kids and family sitting in the hospital for almost 2 days she was amazing. Never faulting, never complained just happy to be there always asking if I needed anything. My birth experience ended in an emergency C-section unfortunately. When I came back from the OR she was still there at my baby’s side making sure my wishes were being kept. Took pictures of our first moments, making sure I got my golden hour and had a hand on Brestfeeding. If my second wasn’t a planned c-section I would have had her at my side again. If you are wondering to yourself “is this price worth it?” Let me tell you it’s worth that and more just to have that extra person in your corner. If you want someone who will become family this is who you need. My family still talks to and about Ashley being there for us. We do not regret it whatsoever.
