I'm also very interested in the meal prep idea and support after birth. I currently don't have coverage through my insurance so this would be private. Hi! I’m currently 34 weeks pregnant with my first baby and will be delivering at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. I have TRICARE Prime and am looking for an experienced, compassionate birth doula. I would absolutely love to have a Christian doula who shares my faith and can provide spiritual encouragement and prayer throughout my birth experience, so that is definitely a preference of mine! Since this is my first baby, I’m really looking for someone who can provide extra support, guidance, and reassurance throughout labor and delivery. I would love someone who can help me manage pain through breathing techniques, exercises, different labor positions, massage, and other comfort measures. Someone who can help keep me calm, encourage me, and guide me through moments when I feel overwhelmed.Having someone who can advocate for me is also extremely important. I want to understand what’s happening, know my options, and avoid unnecessary cervical checks or medical interventions whenever safely possible.
