I am looking to do a home birth in 2027. I am not yet pregnant but will be starting to try to conceive in the next few months. I am looking for a midwife or OB for prenatal appointments as well as birth at home or at a birth center. I want someone that aligns with my values of natural birth and a more holistic approach to medicine. Planning an unmedicated hospital birth at Hoag Hospital Irvine for my first pregnancy. Already have my birth plan figured out and mainly looking for support and advocacy during labor for me and my partner and to learn any helpful information for first time motherhood. Hi! I am a second time mom who will be delivering at HOAG hospital Newport. My first pregnancy was very chaotic because my son came 6 weeks early without any warning. I want to be much more prepared this time around and I am planning on choosing to go unmedicated as last time he came so unexpectedly I choose to get the epidural immediately without much time to think about it nor did I have a plan going into that birth.

I plan to give birth at Loma Linda and hope to be able to use my IEHP insurance to cover this service. My birth plan is just that I don’t want an epidural.
