Hi! My name is Amy, and I'm a mom of five, pregnant with number six! Boy, Girl (c-section), girl (VBAC), girl (vbac2), girl (vbac3). I'm due November 7th with another BOY, and I'm looking to have a (mostly or all) unmedicated hospital birth at Scripps memorial Hospital Encinitas. Dr. Cap is my doctor, and I have a great team. But, my labors tend to be 16-20 hours (even after all these babies), and I tend to get so tired. Could use a little more support than just hubby. Looking for someone who will help come up with more solutions to pain management and energy replenishing/saving. I have a bag of tools I know work for me, but I am open to all the input! Would love to have some additional help! Hoping to find someone who takes Tricare Select.

I'm also very interested in the meal prep idea and support after birth. I currently don't have coverage through my insurance so this would be private. I'm looking for an individual postpartum doula who personally offers both daytime and overnight in-home support, rather than birth doula services. I'm hoping to start with a few visits and retain the flexibility to add daytime or overnight shifts after the baby arrives, depending on what we need. My employer provides a $2,000 benefit for doula services. I'm especially interested in newborn care, feeding support, help with postpartum recovery, and overnight support so my husband and I can get some rest. Please respond only if you serve Carlsbad/North County San Diego, offer both daytime and overnight care yourself, and have potential availability around my due date. I would love some birthing support! Hoag Irvine birth center or Providence Mission Viejo is where I will give birth. This is my second baby, and the first time I got the epidural but it didn’t work. I would love to learn new positions and other pain relief during birth and not use the epidural. My husband is deployed now, and might not be there for the birth.
