Second baby with a goal to have an unmedicated birth with the UCSD midwives at Jacobs Medical Center. I had an uncomplicated first pregnancy but dealt with a lot of medical anxiety during labor and delivery, which in part led to a very long labor in the hospital. I worked with volunteer doulas for my first but would love to have one in advance this time around to have support before birth and in laboring at home. I have Blue Shield of CA, PPO.
I plan to give birth at Sharp Mary birch hospital. $1-3k is my estimated budget. I’m interested in your out of pocket fees within my budget for night nannies. For my birth plan, Epidural if needed but would like to do natural since I had back pain after my first baby 2023 using it. I struggled with post baby blues after my first baby and am looking for the support for night time care. Also interested in a doula if it is within my budget.
First time mother. Plan is to give birth at Sharp Mary Birch hospital in San Diego. I'm looking for help creating a birth plan, preparing for labor and generally someone to educate me and advocate for me.
I need help with feeds, and caring for my 7 month old twins. Staying on schedule with feeds and naps is the most important. Ideally I would like help in the morning starting as early at 6:30am 4-5 times a week. I also need help sleep training one baby therefore I am also open to night support. The other baby sleeps all night. Support needed is in person in the city of El Cajon, CA.
I’m open to giving birth wherever it’s possible, preferably hospital because it’s safer but I’m open to home birth too, if I get enough of education and coaching. I am also going to be alone for this, my husband works nights, my family doesn’t live around, my mom can come to be with me few times a year for a bit. I’d pay using anthem ppo. Want to reduce the cesarean and I’m open to pain meds, as I have low pain tolerance. I get anxious and tend to be panicky. I’d love to prevent tearing, I have raynaund’s phenomenon and my nipples are sensitive. I am first time mom, want to have the chance to be treated with respect especially since having a foreign accent.
At home birth support No more then $1500 Wanting a delayed cord clamping No pushing No laying on back delivery No shots No vaccines No vitamin k shots No eye ointment Golden hour with baby Husband catching the baby And more Anthem blue cross insurance coverage

My wife and I are currently looking for a birth doula Our estimated due date is March 28, 2027, and we are planning to deliver at Hoag Hospital. We have Anthem Blue Cross insurance through LAUSD, and we are currently trying to confirm our doula benefits and which providers may be covered in-network. We also found that National Doula Network appears in-network under our Anthem plan. Could you please let us know whether you currently accept or bill Anthem Blue Cross, whether you work through National Doula Network or another insurance network, and whether your services for prenatal support, labor/birth support at Hoag, and postpartum care may be covered through insurance? We would also love to learn more about your availability around our due date and your experience supporting births at Hoag. Thank you so much! Jonathan & Ashley

I am looking to do a home birth in 2027. I am not yet pregnant but will be starting to try to conceive in the next few months. I am looking for a midwife or OB for prenatal appointments as well as birth at home or at a birth center. I want someone that aligns with my values of natural birth and a more holistic approach to medicine. My budget is less than $10,000 out of pocket and I would need them to accept insurance and/or HSA for payments.
