About me
Hello! My name is Chandra Larocque, and I am a postpartum & labor doula, certified through ProDoula. I serve the Henderson, Las Vegas, and Boulder City Nevada areas. I am a mama to 3 awesome kids, and numerous animals. I work as homeschool parent, a sculptural artist, sound healer, and a doula. I have a passion for nurturing, and caring for people + animals (I am a foster mom for cats). I am so excited to get to know you, and to be of service! I have a lot of love & care to give. I'm here to empower, support, and help you along your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. I can't wait to meet you, and help you discover your power, and all that you are capable of! My special interests would be working with pregnant youth, sound healing during postpartum recovery, birth art classes, hospital & home births, and natural remedies of healing (sound healing, belly binding).

I offer prenatal visits, along with labor and postpartum services. This can look like whatever you want, I'm here to listen and be the support you need! I can do hands on or hands off support, this is entirely up to you. I can also teach Birth Art classes. Labor Support Package
Phone/Text support: I'm on call for you (through text & phone calls) during your pregnancy. If something arises and you need me, give me a call. Please don't hesitate, I'm here for you 100%.
Birth plan session: Let's get together and talk about your birth plan, so you can have a wonderful birth with good communication, and flow.
Attending the birth: I will be on call at 38 weeks, ready to receive your call to let me know you've gone into labor. I will meet you at home (for home births) or the hospital ASAP.
Postpartum visit: This service looks like daily phone calls after you return home, and an in person visit, once you've gotten settled into your home. I can help with maternal care (making sure you're taking care of yourself) help with baby care, lactation, and more! I can cater this plan to meet your specific needs. Lets chat soon!
Pahrump clients: $50 gas fee for each visit to you home.

Postpartum Support Package
This plan is catered to the individual. How ever many hours you may need, will depend on the situation. I am here for all of your needs!
Daily phone check ins after birth: I will check in on you daily to see how thins are going.
In home visits: Face to face support.
Light housework: Dishes, tidy up home, fold laundry.
Feeding support: Help with breast, or bottle feeding.
Maternal care: Give support to the client, and catering to your individual needs, however that may look. Promoting self care.
Infant care: Help with feedings, sleep schedule, basic newborn care education.
Day hours (6am-9pm) $30 an hour (Minimum 3 hour visit) for no less than 3 weeks.
Pahrump Clients: $50 gas fee for each visit to your home.

1 - 15 Minute Sound bath with quartz crystal singing bowls + elemental Koshi chimes
The belly binding provides womb support, and can help with shedding water weight, support the internal organs, speed up uterine involution, and to help with excess fat storage in the belly area. Message me if you want to know more!

What is birth art?
Birth art is about healing, connection, and love!
This will be a safe place to connect with other expecting people, a place to open up and talk about our joys & fears pertaining to pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. Your art isn't supposed to look professional, or "good", that's not what this class is about. It's about taking what is deep down (fears, anxieties, worries…) and getting it out and released into the open to dissect and discuss. Whether that be a sculpture a painting, we will heal and find joy in this experience together!
These classes have the potential to~
~Bring internal stories, judgements, and expectations into the light, where they can be examined and integrated.
~Help us access our subconscious minds, where we may find instincts and coping skills that we had not known that we possessed.
~Give us practice in interacting with perinatal topics without using our intellectual, "book-learning" brains -- which will probably not be accessible in labor.
~Give us practice feeling uncomfortable, out of our element, unsure what to do next, out of control, and (literally) messy - and then allow us to watch ourselves make it through anyway.
~Open us to the possibilities that the answers to our birth-related questions may exist within ourselves.

What do I provide?
Instruction, an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. All needed art supplies, herbal tea, snacks and good company.

What is belly binding?
Belly binding is the practice of wrapping a cloth tightly around the abdomen, typically after childbirth, to provide support to the core muscles and pelvic floor, aiding in the healing process and potentially helping the body return to its pre-pregnancy shape.
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a meditative practice where participants lie down and are "bathed" in a carefully curated soundscape created by various instruments like singing bowls, gongs, chimes, tuning forks, and sometimes even the human voice, with the intention of inducing deep relaxation and promoting a sense of well-being through sound vibrations that wash over the body.
Do you support teenagers?
Yes! I work with St Judes, helping out in the pregnant teen program. I am very excited to support our youth! Sometimes just a little extra love, support, and guidance, can make the world of difference in the teen's birthing experience. I am here to help them amplify their voice, so they can be heard in the birthing room, and to make sure their birth wishes are taken seriously.
Do you have a sliding fee scale?
I don't have a sliding fee scale, but I am willing to work out some payment plans and work with all kinds of budgets. Feel free to reach out, and we can discuss a plan that works for everyone.
Do you accept insurance?
No, I do not currently accept insurance.
Do you do over nights for postpartum care?
No, I don't offer overnight doula care at this time.
