I plan to give birth at Inova Fairfax Women's Center. I live in Fredericksburg VA. I am looking for a Christian/ Christ centered doula who is well versed in high risk black maternal health and can advocate well for me. I want hands off care as much as possible. Not many cervical checks. NO episiotomy or forceps. Labor the way a position feels comfortable to me. Also, a plus is someone with a trauma based care mentality as I have gone through sexual assault and I need emphasis on consent. I need someone who is going to help when fear tries to come up. Someone not afraid to pray and set the atmosphere well. My biggest fear is becoming a statistic and something happening to me during or after birth because no one listened to me and how I feel about my body. MUST ACCEPT CareFirst (Private BCBS). I would only like services that will be covered.

Hello, I am currently 20 weeks pregnant with my second child and am reaching out to see if you have availability for a high-risk client in the Fredericksburg or surrounding areas. My situation is urgent. I had a preventative cerclage placed at 16 weeks (following an emergency cerclage at 20 weeks with my first child). At my appointment, my doctors discovered my cervix has opened halfway. I am now on strict medical bedrest at home and taking vaginal progesterone. My medical team has explicitly stated there is a 50/50 chance I may deliver early, and I am preparing for a potential preterm birth. Because of this, the care I need from a doula is very specific: Virtual or In-Bed Prenatal Support: Emotional guidance, help processing birth preferences for a high-risk or potentially premature delivery, and coping strategies while I navigate strict bedrest. On-Call Flexibility: Continuous labor and delivery support if I am rushed to the hospital early, or if we make it to full term. High-Risk Advocacy: A calm, knowledgeable presence who can help my husband and me navigate a fast-moving clinical environment or unexpected NICU stay. I'm pregnant with my 8th. I hope to have a birthing center birth. I am looking for a person to support me during this pregnancy and postpartum in the areas of nutrition and fitness/strength. Looking for good, safe exercises and motivation. Possibly doula services at birth as well.

I am currently on my second pregnancy with twins! I reside in Fredericksburg but do plan to give birth at Stafford hospital, just like I did with my first. I am hoping to go natural but am flexible in my birth plan due to the risks of having twins (preterm labor, c section, etc). I am mostly looking for someone that can help provide care during the nights in the very beginning for the twins. I will be breastfeeding so I’ll be up as well but am really wanting help on changes, potential bottle feed once or twice through the night while I pump, and putting them back to sleep. I hardly slept with my first and struggled deeply with PPD and would like to avoid that at all cost. I am open to any caregiver but would prefer female only, and at least 2-4 years experience.

I plan to give birth at Holy Cross Hospital in Germantown, MD. I currently don’t have any birth plans. This is my very first pregnancy. I do hope to deliver vaginally. I don’t have any health concerns right now and not on any medications.

Where do you plan to give birth (home/hospital)? I plan to give birth in a hospital setting at Pascal Women’s Center at UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, Maryland. (UMMS) Estimated budget: My budget will depend on what services are covered by my insurance, if anything. I am looking for postpartum support options that fit within my available coverage or payment options. Describe your birth plan: I am still developing my full birth plan, but my main preferences are: * I would like to avoid giving birth flat on my back and would prefer alternative laboring positions when medically appropriate. * I would like my doula and delivery nurse to be my primary support people in the delivery room. * I would like delayed cord clamping. * I would like immediate skin-to-skin contact with my baby after birth. * I would prefer no bath for my baby immediately after delivery and would like to wait until I am ready. * I would like medical interventions delayed unless they are medically necessary. I would like procedures explained to me and want to provide consent before interventions whenever possible. Requirements for the provider (certification, years of experience, second language): I am looking for someone experienced in postpartum support and newborn care, especially overnight newborn care. Certification as a postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, or similar training is preferred. I value someone patient, compassionate, respectful of my parenting choices, and knowledgeable about newborn needs. A second language is not required. Details about care recipients (age, special needs, feeding, etc.): I am expecting my first baby. My care recipient will be my newborn baby. I will need support learning my baby’s routines, feeding, soothing, diapering, and newborn care. I would appreciate someone who can support me as I recover and adjust to motherhood. Additional duties (sleep training, cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc.): My main need is postpartum recovery support, especially nighttime care so I can get adequate rest after birth. I am looking for assistance with: * Overnight newborn care * Feeding support (breastfeeding, pumping, and/or bottle feeding support if needed) * Diaper changes and soothing * Helping establish healthy newborn routines (not formal sleep training right away) * Light household cleaning as needed * Cooking or meal preparation * Light laundry assistance My goal is to have compassionate support during the transition into motherhood while allowing me time to heal, rest, bond with my baby, and gain confidence caring for my newborn.

I currently go to Signature OBGYN in Columbia,MD so I will be giving birth in Howard County Hospital. I’m currently looking for someone that takes my insurance which is WellPoint. For my birth plan I would to have a unmedicated birth.
