Charlee was the best investment I ever made for my birth. She made the environment exactly what I needed, was positive, encouraging, supportive and empowering during my 36 hours of labor. She also was incredibly helpful and supportive to my husband, who was my birth partner, and helped me reach my goal of laboring unmedicated for 24 hours! She helped advocate for me at the hospital, and was so calm and kind in helping me know my options when I had to choose interventions, she always helped me know that everything was my choice, which made me feel so empowered and happy with my labor and delivery! Charlee has been so incredible to work with!! She has the kindest and most calming presence. My water broke a month early with my first, late at night and my husband and I were in shock. Charlee came to the hospital so quickly and jumped right in to help me and help my husband know how to help me. She was so attentive to all of our questions during pregnancy, labor and postpartum. She was so aware of us. She’s been so sweet to check in on us and our baby many times. She brought us the yummiest food, chatted and offered help postpartum. Hiring Charlee as my doula was one of the best decisions I've made and made such a positive impact on the birth and recovery of this baby. I wish I had used her for other births. If I was having more children I'd use her again. It was so helpful to have someone to message when I thought I was in early labor and it gave me more confidence heading into the mental work that comes with labor. Even though I went to the hospital in the middle of the night, she came as soon as possible. I also so appreciated her playing with our 6 kids in our hospital room after baby was born. That meant the world. She far exceeded any expectations I had. She treated us more like family or friends than a stranger. I am so grateful I reached out to Charlee at 38 weeks pregnant and asked for a free consultation. She responded to me within the hour and set up a time to do a call. Charlee has such a calming presence. I felt very comfortable opening up about my fears and hopes for birth in our first call. I appreciated how she kept the focus on my husband and I being a team. She also emphasized the importance of intuition and the importance of following mom’s lead during birth.
Charlee came to the hospital with several tools to help me throughout labor. She was really great at recognizing a need and providing a tool or resource to help me. My husband really appreciated having someone to switch applying counter pressure throughout labor too. We both felt that her presence was essential to a calm and relaxed birth.
After my baby was born, he had to be taken to the NICU. Charlee stayed with me in labor and delivery for an hour or so afterwards so I didn’t have to be alone.
Within 2 weeks of giving birth, she checked on me often. She even provided a meal and some postpartum snacks. I genuinely felt cared for. I would definitely recommend hiring Charlee as a doula.

I decided last minute (at 38 weeks) to have a doula in the birth room with me for my first birth which was unmedicated. Charlee was the best decision I could have made! She was a HUGE support both before, during, and after the birth. I can’t even imagine how much harder going through an unmedicated birth would’ve been if I hadn’t had Charlee! I’m not sure how she had the continuous strength but she never once took her hands off my hips for pelvic counter pressure while I was pushing and that LITERALLY saved me. She was also so great at helping me make informed decisions and advocating for me and my birth plan in the birth room when I had no strength to do so for myself. I CANNOT RECOMMEND CHARLEE ENOUGH!!!
