Hello and congratulations on your upcoming birth! Birth is a gift. Working a birth doula since 2009 has been a great joy in my life. I love walking the journey with couples - providing caring support, calm confidence, and years of experience to help make birth the best it can be. Other than supporting birth, my favorite days include time with my family (4 grown children and one grandson), being out in nature, prayer, and reading a good book.

Birth doula

Unlimited calls/texts/emails and typically two home visits to discuss hopes and plans for birth. Preparation for birth is tailored to individual needs and preferences and can include childbirth education, customized birth plan, breathing/relaxation techniques, positions for labor, etc... Continuous, unlimited support begins whenever you request my presence - at home, a birth center, or in the hospital. Usually I stay for an hour or two after the birth to help establish breastfeeding (yes, you can!) and get you comfortable. Support by phone and text during the first week or two with lactation referrals available on request. A home visit during that time provides an opportunity to help resource any needs and a chance for feedback and processing regarding the birth.

$750 USD · Flat rate

What to expect

A flat fee includes prenatal visits, continuous support during labor and delivery, and a postpartum visit.

We were so thankful to have Cheryl with us during the birth of our son! My husband and I both said we didn’t know what we would’ve done without her! During my long labor, she stayed by my side the entire time and helped with any decisions that arose. She gave us honest answers, making sure we knew the pros and cons of each decision. We appreciated that Cheryl was very conscious of the kind of birth we wanted and did her best with helping us achieve that as much as was in our hands.
