I’ve always been drawn to calm, grounding spaces, whether that’s near the water or in the quiet moments that matter most and I bring that same sense of ease and support into my work as a doula. My path to becoming a doula began before I even realized it. After supporting my sister and brother-in-law with my newborn nephew, I experienced firsthand how vital compassionate, hands-on support can be during those early days. That experience sparked a deep passion in me for creating positive, empowering birth and postpartum journeys. After welcoming my second child, I followed that calling and completed my doula training so I could support other families in a meaningful way. Hi my name is Stephanie Zelembaba and I am a Naturopathic Doctor and co-owner of Abaton integrative medicine. I have a special focus in perinatal (from family planning through postpartum) and pediatric (from newborn to teens) care. Along with my Naturopathic practice, I teach HypnoBirthing prenatal classes (in-person and virtual, group and private) - helping expectant mamas (and their birth companions) develop the tools to have a calm, safe and as comfortable as possible birth. I am also a trained Naturopathic Doula, providing parent's-to-be with labour preparation and day-of labour support.

My philosophy as a postpartum doula is rooted in gentle, intuitive support that honors both baby and parent. I believe every family deserves care, guidance, and reassurance as they navigate the first weeks and months together. I’m here to help parents feel confident, nourished, and supported - whether it’s through hands-on newborn care, breastfeeding support, light household help, or simply being a calm and encouraging presence when you need it most. My goal is to empower families to enjoy this fleeting, transformative stage with less stress and more connection, knowing they are seen, supported, and capable every step of the way.

I am a perinatal naturopathic doctor that helps families achieve optimal health before, during and after their pregnancy. I offer nutritional counseling, acupuncture for labour induction and moxa for breech turns. I am an experienced birth doula that focuses on helping the birthing parent trust their body and the birthing process. I help couples with encouragement, physical comfort measures, education and advocacy. I am a certified HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator and Evidence Based Birth Instructor. I teach virtually at the moment and hope to soon be able to teach in person again. I rent La Bassine birthing tubs with disposable liners and a kit that includes everything you need for a waterbirth.
