Jennifer Mozeke, better known as Mozeke, is a native of Dallas but grew up in Louisiana. She is a Licensed Midwife in Texas and has attended more than 300 births. Mozeke is a graduate of Mercy In Action College of Midwifery where she obtained a Bachelors of Science in Midwifery degree. She also has a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Masters of Arts in Arts, Entertainment and Media Management from Columbia College Chicago. Her journey to midwifery began years ago after the birth of her first child. The experience left her with an intense passion for reproductive justice, birth equity and postpartum wellness. The calling was undeniable and soon after the birth of her second child in 2017, she was able to answer that call. Mozeke believes that midwifery care should be an affordable and easily accessible option for any pregnant person who desires holistic, evidence-based, family centered care where pregnancy is not viewed as an illness but rather a unique and normal process of life. Hi! My name is Rebeca Gedeon and I am a certified birth doula located in Weatherford, TX. I love supporting moms in all labor and delivery locations, and with any kind of provider. I've supported over 80 families in my 4 years of serving as a labor doula. My first experience with birth was when my mom delivered my brother under the supervision of a traditional midwife over 24 years ago. Inspired by my own reproductive journey, I feel called to do birth work in this phase of my life. I have the most wonderful five year old daughter and being her Mom is absolutely the best part of my life, however my journey to her did not come without its challenges. From struggling with pregnancy loss, to a pregnancy that required me to be on full bed rest for my entire third trimester, and ultimately delivering via c-section. I am well versed in needing supportive around the clock care. And most importantly I count that care as one of my biggest blessings. I believe that care is what allowed me to bring a beautiful baby to this world safely and transition to motherhood with confidence.
