About Dani

Hello! I’m Dani. I’m originally from Massachusetts, but I’ve been living in Chittenden county for the past seven years. I spent years in the restaurant industry, but it was so defeating, and not what I wanted as a lifetime career. I obtained my business degree while working in multiple fields (non-profit world, healthcare, etc.). Nothing ever felt like, “This is it. This is what I want to do with my life”. Nothing ever felt like my true calling. When I became pregnant, I decided I would stop working all together, as much as a financial burden as it would be, and focus on being a mom. Little did I know, this is when I would figure it all out. I became interested in becoming a doula almost immediately after my son was born. My husband went back to work, and I felt overwhelmed and lonely not having any family where I live and few friends close-by. Despite having about 20 years working with children, I was still scared that I just didn’t have all of the information I needed to be a confident parent. The unknown is scary, and there was a lot of unknown. I wanted to learn how to help others like myself, and the more I learned, the more interested I became. Being a new parent is no joke, and there’s so much that people don’t tell you. I decided that I want to help other families feel supported and educated to feel more confident and less scared/overwhelmed with being new parents. I value accessible care for all. Our country has a history of inaccessible, unaffordable, and inequitable healthcare. It results in humans not getting the diagnoses, treatments, and supports that they need. My mission is to contribute to making healthcare accessible by making my work of being a postpartum doula accessible to individuals regardless of race, sexual orientation, or income. It is my responsibility to continuously educate myself on important issues in order to provide informed care for my clients. In addition to my regular rates, I provide financial options to those facing economic hardship either through scholarships or a sliding scale rate. I also provide BIPOC & LGBTQ+ discounts. Simple Postpartum Planning

Free initial phone consultation 2 prenatal planning visits (totaling 3 hours) that will leave you feeling comfortable in beginning your parenthood journey. These planning visits will also include light feeding education and planning. These visits can be done virtually, as well! Unlimited access to my carefully cultivated resource library

Light Support Package

Free initial phone consultation & a second in-person meeting for me to meet you and your family (and animals!) and learn more about you all so that I can tailor your package to fit your needs and goals. 2 prenatal planning visits (totaling 2 hours) that will leave you feeling comfortable in beginning your parenthood journey. These planning visits will also include light feeding education and planning. Postpartum gift basket 2 postpartum visits for the fourth trimester (3 hours each), catered to your needs, to make sure you're landing on your feet. Just the Doula

Free initial phone consultation & a second in-person meeting for me to meet you and your family (and animals!) and learn more about you all so that I can tailor your package to fit your needs and goals. 1 prenatal planning visits (totaling 1.5 hours) that will leave you feeling comfortable in beginning your parenthood journey. This planning visit will also include light feeding education and planning. Postpartum visits, as needed. Frequently asked questions

Do you offer discounts?

Yes! I offer discounts off and on; see my website for current discounts (if I’m running a discount, it can be found at the top of my page in the banner). In an effort to help combat major healthcare disparities, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ families receive an 8% discount on any of my doula packages.

Do you offer payment plans?

I’m always open to discussing flexible payment options! Please reach out if you are interested in having me as your postpartum doula, but are afraid you may not be able to afford it. I’m willing to discuss an income-based sliding scale option, scholarships, barter, payment plans, etc. While payment plans are available, typically entire payment is due at 37 weeks, or before first postpartum visit (depending on your situation!).

What if I run out of hours in my package?

Do you offer birth doula services?

I do not currently offer birth doula services.

Do you offer overnight postpartum support?

I do not provide overnight postpartum doula care at this time.

How much does Dani charge?

Dani's Simple Postpartum Planning package is $175 USD, flat rate. Dani lists 6 packages in all.
