Why I Do This Work: Infant feeding is one of the most personal and impactful experiences a parent can have, and that includes parents who are nurturing babies through induced lactation, adoption, surrogacy, or as a non-gestational parent. As a Doula, I launched Rahma Maternal Services because I’m passionate and dedicated to supporting families during one of the most transformative experiences of their lives. With specialized training (attained certification from DONA International) and a deep commitment to women, I offer personalized care and support to expectant mothers and their partners as they prepare for birth and beyond. It’s with pride and joy that I make sure no woman is left behind. I wholeheartedly believe every birthing person deserves a Doula. Additionally: coming from a multicultural background gave me the opportunity to connect and build relationships with people from all walks of life. Good Day! My name is Lena "Lady L." Dickerson. I am a full-spectrum doula, social work professional, and community advocate serving Indianapolis and surrounding communities. Joyful Services is a Biblical-based organization, and my work is rooted in my faith in Jesus Christ. This foundation guides how I serve individuals and families through compassion, integrity, advocacy, excellence, and genuine care. I provide prenatal, birth, postpartum, bereavement, and end-of-life support, along with education, resource connection, and family-centered guidance. My goal is to help individuals and families feel informed, empowered, supported, and cared for as they navigate life's most meaningful transitions.

As a mother myself, I know first hand the value of kind and informed assistant in the days following the birth of a baby. I was blessed to have experienced support following the births of my now grown three children and know how valuable it is.
