I plan to give birth at the hospital. I would like to have the support of a doula and try to have a natural birth if possible. I'm inquiring about someone that accepts Humana Medicaid. I would like to have full support with personal needs, emotional support mainly.

I am a first time mother who wants to learn how to recover from birth while providing the best care for my baby. I’m easily overwhelmed and will need some help in postpartum. My mother will be present to help also. I’m interested in someone who is educated in traditional medicine with 5+ years of experience. Cooking and cleaning is a plus. Nighttime care would be great. I’m looking for a doula who can help advocate for us during a hospital birth. This is my first birth/pregnancy and I want someone who is educated and understands this world. I know the hospital environment can get hectic and I want someone who can protect my husband and i’s calm during the birthing process. Plus sized first time mommy. I am currently 31 weeks pregnant and hoping to give birth as naturally as possible. I am looking for someone to help advocate for me since I have already experienced a lapse in care due to my size and continue to feel like providers don't want to help me because I am fat. At this time, I am only high risk for my weight but so far all my tests have been normal and nothing is wrong. Throughout my pregnancy I have already had to transfer care two times and at my recent 30 week check up a new midwife took one look at me and decided I needed to transfer. It has caused a lot of trauma, stress and anxiety. I just want to feel like my health and m baby's health are important and just because I am fat I am still deserving of proper care and support.

Second baby and I really want a VBAC. I am a holistic person and I am not so comfortable in hospital settings, would love a feminine support to be with me and advocate for me. I plan to give birth at Advent Hospital in Daytona Beach. I am currently doing prenatal care at Baby Steps. Ideally would love a home/water birth but have not found the right place/person. I am open. My budget out of pocket is 1000-1500, unless I can find something covered by CIGNA (my insurance company) thank you!
