As a lactation consultant at UCLA Health and Providence Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, I provide evidence-based, non-judgmental, and individualized support to mothers and families in the NICU and outpatient settings. I have over 17 years of experience as an IBCLC, certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners® (IBLCE®), and a background in women's and child health. My passion is to help parents discover the joy and fulfillment of parenthood through breastfeeding, especially in challenging situations such as prematurity, tongue tie, low milk production, and other complex feeding issues. My Story I am New York native, living in Los Angeles now for the last 15 years. I am a proud mom to my 6 six boys (age 5 to 21) so for a long time I was either pregnant or breastfeeding. Each baby breastfed for a different duration of time depending on what was going on in my life then and I enjoyed every minute of it. As my boys grew older I was on the search for a new career so I started searching. After exploring various career options, and helping some new mom friends along the way I set my eyes on becoming a Lactation Consultant. This profession combines my passions for babies, breastfeeding and helping others. I so enjoyed my breastfeeding experiences with my babies and wished the same for all moms. So, in my 30's and mom of 5 at the time, I returned to school.
