I plan to give birth at Howard County General Hospital that is connected with Johns Hopkins. My OB is through Capital Women's Care in Fulton/Maple Lawn, and the OBs rotate there. I had a c-section December 2022, and I believe I was pressured into this when it was unnecessary based on speaking with doctors, friends, and family since. I want a VBAC. I do not have a large budget. I'm trying to figure out how my doulas cost. My family is willing to help a little thankfully. I'm guestimating my budget is $2k. I want someone that will advocate for me, encourage me, and help me to have a VBAC, as last time I was continually pressured to have, and my husband could not advocate for me to keep going and trying. I felt guilty about his anxieties for me, which led me to take an unnecessary and harder process of the c-section, and ended up being much scarier for both of us.

Moving in November from PA to Chesapeake Virginia. Previously had a C-section June 14 of 2025. It was not an emergency C-section. I was induced at 42 weeks. Made it to 10 cm and the baby did not descend down. I want to try for a VBAC

We're looking for a doula who is experienced working with neurodivergent mothers and also has some experience with working with mothers who suffer from trauma. We're looking for someone who can support pre-birth through education, resources and techniques and can also be in the room during the birth. We're hoping to breastfeed, but that might be a sensory nightmare, so we're looking for someone who can help us navigate that. This is my second baby. I'd like a hospital birth. My first birth was not traumatic but I remember feeling like I was limited in my ability to express my needs and felt pressured into certain interventions. I also had a very negative breastfeeding experience and was never able to establish that with my first and would like to try again. I am looking for someone to help advocate for me during the birth and support me in getting breastfeeding established.

I plan to give birth at Christiana Care in northern Delaware. I’d like to find a doula that takes my insurance and can provide the 3 prenatal, 3 postnatal visits and labor/delivery support. I’m going to be a first time, single mom by choice and am not sure who, if anyone, will be in the delivery room with me and I’d like an advocate and someone I trust to help support and help me understand what is going on and my choices in real time.
