About me

My name is Emma and I am a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and mom of two serving Ventura County and located in the Ojai Valley, CA. I am here to walk by your side and support you as you plan for and navigate your infant feeding journey and to help you find what works best for you and your baby. I completed my lactation education through a rigorous training through UC San Diego through the Lactation Pathway 2 educational certificate program. I spent hundreds of hours of clinical training under the guidance of longtime IBCLC’s/lactation consultants at Kaiser Santa Rosa in their pediatric clinic providing hands on care to families with newborns and infants. I can help you navigate and customize plans based on your individual needs and infant feeding goals with issues such as: improving baby’s latch, breastfeeding positions, questions/concerns on infant weight gain or milk transfer, supply issues, nipple or breast pain, clogged ducts or mastitis, combination feeding and supplementation, pumping, back to work plans, introducing solids, night weaning, pregnancy and breastfeeding, tandem feeds, food allergies and breastfeeding, medication use in breastfeeding, or weaning. I have personal experience navigating infant food allergies while breastfeeding as well as navigating caring for a medically complex child. I approach caring for my clients in a respectful, nonjudgmental, holistic, and comprehensive manner. I welcome all families and parenting adults to my practice!

As a first-time mom, meeting with Emma was such a wonderful experience. She is incredibly kind, gentle, and understanding. She really takes the time to figure out what both you and your baby need. I felt so supported and comfortable the entire time. She’s very hands-on, responsive, and truly cares. I’m so grateful for her help.

I am so grateful for the incredible support Emma provided when she came to my home a day after I returned from the hospital. I was a bit stressed about my milk supply after a few conversations with nurses at the hospital, but Emma immediately put me at ease. She brought so much expertise, encouragement, and practical guidance which helped me feel confident in my ability to breastfeed my baby. She made herself readily available for all my questions and even followed up after our initial appointment to make sure everything was going well. Her kindness and knowledge made such a difference during a really vulnerable time. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better lactation consultant. Highly recommend Emma to any new parent looking for support!

Emma was a complete life saver during the birth and postpartum experience of my third baby this past Spring. When my birth plan shifted unexpectedly, she guided me through each change with so much steadiness, clarity, and compassion. Her support helped me stay grounded and confident even when things felt uncertain. What made the biggest difference, though, was the way she emphasized true rest and real self-care in those early weeks. With Emma’s presence, I felt fully supported, seen, and able to recover in a way I never had with my previous births. She offered practical help, emotional support, and a calming presence that made our home feel held. Her guidance supported a positive breastfeeding experience and helped me manage the hormonal roller coaster of postpartum with more grace. I can’t imagine having navigated this season without her. If you’re considering postpartum care or infant feeding support, Emma brings a level of expertise, heart, and intuition that is truly rare. I’m endlessly grateful.
