Giving birth at Kaiser - San Diego Medical Center Insurance should cover services provided the doula has a national provider identification birth plan: this is my first child. whatever is safest is the highest priority. I am not at all opposed to an epidural I have no idea what my pain tolerance is going to be or what to expect. I am not hell-bent on an all-natural birth but I don't want to use drugs that will affect my baby if at all possible. I am NOT looking for someone who will push us into a particular birth plan but someone who will support, advise, and help me and my husband advocate for ourselves and our baby. I would like to limit the number of people in the room - so someone who is willing to be a "gate-keeper" is important. Our NIPT test shows a very high likelihood of T21 I don't know what if any challenges that is going to present especially regarding breastfeeding.

This is my second child, my first will be 4 by the time baby arrives. Had a very hard postpartum with my first and want this time to be different and hope to avoid severe postpartum mental health by getting the assistance of a doula during birth and a night doula postpartum for a few days a week for the first weeks. I want to have a safe, unmedicated birth, goal to move around and use my partner for support positions. I want to learn breath techniques, have advocacy in the hospital, labor at home as long as possible. I do not want medical intervention unless absolutely necessary. I have a disability, tay sachs disease that affects my leg strength but my doctor says it would be best for me to have a normal unmedicated vaginal birth. i plan on giving birth at sharp mary birch. I am not sure of the budget it depends on what this all includes. Ideally under 10,000. that would still stretch us financially alot.
