I have Cigna insurance and am looking for a compassionate, experienced birth doula who can provide prenatal education, continuous labor support, and postpartum guidance. For provider requirements, I am looking for someone who is certified (doula certification required if applicable), experienced (preferably several years working with births), and comfortable working in a hospital setting. I am looking for a doula/midwife who can support my natural/physiological birth plan and who can advocate for me within the hospital setting. I want to be free to move around during labor, possibly use a labor tub, push with my contractions instead of purple pushing, and deliver my placenta naturally. I would prefer a doula/midwife who I knowledgeable about hospital policies and feels comfortable advocating my wishes while I am focused on breathing through contractions.
