How these prices are calculated

Prices are the rates night nannies and newborn care specialists list on their Bornbir profiles. Birth doula packages are left out, because they pay for labor support rather than nights. So are hourly rates under $15 or over $200, to leave out package prices entered as an hourly rate by mistake.

The Fairhaven figures count providers based within 150 miles once at least 5 of them list prices; below that the page shows Massachusetts or United States figures instead. Medians are the middle price, ranges the middle half of prices, and per-night costs assume a 10-hour shift. Figures recompute daily.

The cost of a night nanny in Fairhaven, MA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Fairhaven, MA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

My background includes 10 years in childcare and another 10 years in birth and postpartum work, giving me the opportunity to support families through so many different seasons of welcoming and caring for a new baby. Whether you’re preparing for birth, adjusting to life with a newborn, or working through feeding and sleep, my goal is to provide support that feels both personal and practical. My role is to help you understand your options, feel confident making the choices that are right for your family, and provide hands-on and emotional support without judgment along the way. I believe birth and postpartum are sacred, transformative seasons that deserve genuine connection, informed support, and compassionate care. Working with my Andrea was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy. From our prenatal visits, she brought a sense of calm and reassurance that helped put both my husband and I at ease. During labor, her guidance of comfort measures and steady presence helped me stay focused and confident throughout. She anticipated needs before we had to ask and created a supportive environment for everyone. Even after delivery she stayed with us to make sure I felt comfortable, and cared for in those first moments postpartum.

We are so grateful for Stacey’s help. Our baby went from waking 7 times a night to sleeping through the night much faster than we ever expected. What stood out most was how personalized her approach was. Her recommendations were evidence based, but always tailored to our family’s needs and comfort level. As nervous first time parents, having Stacey check in with us nightly and help troubleshoot in real time made all the difference. We trusted her completely after working with her as our postpartum doula, and hiring her as our sleep consultant was one of the best decisions we made. Highly recommend!

Working with Alondra was an amazing experience! She was a soothing and knowledgeable presence from the beginning. She was intentional in her communication and fielded all my questions. She genuinely cared about my baby as she checked in with me after all my appointments. She helped me create a birth plan and was super supportive. She encouraged my husbands participation in my labor and birth and made sure he also felt supported during this. As someone who wanted to labor at home and then go to the hospital for a water birth, it came as a surprise to me when my water broke well before labor started. I knew that this increased my risk for infection but Alondra was supportive of my decision to give my body time to allow labor to start naturally. It had been well over 24 hours and my labor had not started which allowed fear and worry to creep in on my husband and I. Alondra made the decision to join us at our house prior to us all going to the hospital. She was able to provide the emotional support both my husband and I needed but didn't realize it. Alondra then came with us to the hospital. Seeing the hospital room and knowing I was going to have to do my entire labor there which was not what I wanted triggered a lot of emotion for me. Alondra created a beautiful moment for my husband and played our wedding song and had us slow dance. It's a moment I'll never forget and am so grateful for. Alondra continued to encourage me to do some exercises and positioning techniques to help quicken labor. Before I knew it, active labor had started without the need for pitocin. Alondra supported my husband through supporting me and also helped with certain positions and techniques to make me as comfortable as possible. Just 12 hours after getting to the hospital, our sweet baby boy was born. Although it wasn't as I had planned, I was still able to have an all natural water birth. I truly would not have been able to do it without Alondra!

Hi, I’m Marsha, founder of Blissful Sleep Doulas. I began supporting families as a postpartum doula in 2018, and what started as one doula caring for one family at a time has grown into a trusted team of experienced, dedicated doulas supporting new and growing families throughout Greater Boston and beyond. Blissful Sleep Doulas offers birth and postpartum doula support, breastfeeding support, newborn and infant sleep support, and prenatal education. We also offer digital guides covering pregnancy, newborn care, postpartum recovery, feeding, sleep, and more, because we believe parents deserve reliable support and practical answers throughout the entire journey, not just after baby arrives. Every doula on our team is carefully vetted and brings professional training, hands-on experience, and a genuine passion for supporting families. Our approach is warm, judgment-free, and personalized to your family, your baby, and the kind of support you actually need. We believe the postpartum season deserves just as much care and preparation as birth itself. You shouldn’t be expected to figure everything out on your own or feel like you have to do it all without help. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating those first weeks at home, looking for overnight support so everyone can get some much-needed rest, or trying to understand your baby’s changing sleep needs, our team is here to help you feel supported, rested, and confident along the way. Rested Parents. Thriving Babies.

I cannot recommend Blissful Sleep enough! We have used them twice now, and their timeliness and reliability really stood out compared to other services we’ve tried. The doulas are natural at soothing and caring for babies, and they were incredibly helpful with establishing routines. Beyond just childcare, they did dishes, washed bottles and pump parts, and helped with other chores, which gave us more time for sleep. We appreciated how flexible they were. They always adjusted to whatever we needed that specific morning—some days that meant letting the baby sleep as long as possible, and other days they had her changed and fed so she was ready for our morning rush to school/ work. If our baby didn't need anything in the morning they would brew coffee and read to the older kiddos. They go above and beyond to support the whole family.
