I am looking for a labor doula that is covered under Tricare Select East and meets their qualifications. I use OB/GYN Associates of Miami LLC and plan to give birth at the hospital they use, Baptist Hospital of Miami at Kendall Dr. I am prepared to pay the insurance deductible, hopefully no more than $500.

Plan to birth at west Kendall Baptist hospital. Our budget is very minimal as we wish to use health insurance to help cover the majority of the costs. Our birth plan is very simple I wish to birth our first born as unmedicated as possible. I wish to avoid any medications unless medically necessary. I’m seeking a non clinical birth doula who can provide: • Prenatal support and education • Continuous labor and delivery support at the hospital • Postpartum follow up support UnitedHealthcare has informed me that I may qualify for a community based doula program, with an estimated coverage range of $1,000–$1,200, and I am currently in that enrollment process. While I haven’t created a detailed birth plan yet, I’m looking for guidance and support as I prepare.
