Hi, my name is Caroline and I am a certified labor, birth and postpartum doula, a Body Ready Method Professional and Body Ready Birth Teacher. It is my passion to support families during their journey of meeting their new baby, and to make them feel more secure and taken care of during this sacred time of pregnancy, birth and beyond. My hobbies include gardening, baking (especially sourdough bread), reading and homesteading. I enjoy practicing mindfulness, wearing cozy sweaters, and spending time with my family and friends. Fall is my favorite season, with its color changes and our family's apple and pumpkin picking adventures. I am a mountain girl, who was born and raised in Germany. I offer my services in both German and in English.

Caroline was incredible! We absolutely loved getting to know her and working with her during this pregnancy and birth. From her calm supportive presence to coaching me through a largely unmedicated labor (which I never could have done on my own!) to visiting us after birth and bringing incredible food to help get through the early post partum phase, her support made our birth experience so much more joyful . I will be recommending her to all pregnant friends in the future!

I had the privilege of having Nia support me through two of the most emotionally and physically challenging experiences of my life: my third labor and delivery in 2023, and a couple years after a very tough medical abortion. In both situations, her presence, care, and advocacy made all the difference. During my labor and delivery, Nia was incredibly comforting and attentive. She advocated for me in the hospital when I needed support, helped communicate my needs, and made sure I felt safe and heard throughout the entire process. Her calm, grounded energy kept me centered, and her encouragement helped me get through some of the toughest moments. When I later faced a medical abortion, Nia remained just as supportive. She accompanied me to my appointments, drove me to the procedure, stayed by my side the entire time, and made sure I wasn’t alone emotionally or physically. Afterward, she went above and beyond, coming home with me, bringing me tea and soup, and providing the comfort and reassurance I truly needed. Her compassion, reliability, and unconditional support were a 10/10. I genuinely would not have wanted anyone else by my side. Nia is someone who shows up fully, advocates fiercely, and cares deeply. I am incredibly grateful for her.

Dominique was an advocate every step of the way. Each visit I had and the doctors I saw that would say one thing, Dominique would FaceTime and speak up for me and ask the questions so I could easily understand for me and my baby. She helped me understand as a first time mom how important it was to know what I was being told and assisted me in making best decisions for my birth.

Kristen was an absolute lifesaver for our family—especially as first-time parents. She was reliable, professional, and incredibly warm, with such a sweet and gentle way with our newborn (and us). Each morning, she gave us a helpful recap of how our daughter slept and shared thoughtful, experience-based advice tailored to our baby’s habits. Her support gave us so much peace of mind (and much-needed rest!). Our only regret is not booking more nights with her in those early weeks!

I’m a Postpartum Doula in Montgomery County. Maryland offering holistic-minded postpartum support that draws inspiration from ancient postpartum care traditions and the slow living movement. Native to Puerto Rico, my interest in birth and postpartum care was fully realized after seeing my 17th sibling born at home with a beautiful local midwife. She apprenticed and ignited my passion for birth work as an 11 year old. Decades later, it is my joy and privilege to walk alongside mothers during this sacred time.

Hello, my name is Nashare and I am the owner of That Community Helper. I am trained as birth and postpartum doula, but currently focusing on postpartum clients. I graduated college with a degree in Early Childhood Education and it made me realize that the best foundation for a good early childhood is through the mother/parents. I believe that parents have lost the support through the entire perinatal phase and it is my desire and goal to make sure the parents build confidence in themselves. In my practice I believe in creating a compassionate, education-driven, supportive environment during a very sensitive time in parents’ lives. In my free time, I like to paint, draw, and read.

My newborn care philosophy focuses on delivering comprehensive and compassionate support to both newborns and parents. My primary aim is to foster a nurturing environment where families feel empowered to excel in their new roles. Ultimately, my approach provides personalized, educational, and non-judgmental guidance, emphasizing safety, emotional stability, and collaborative relationships.

Recent review

Erica was an absolute lifesaver during the first six weeks of both of my children's births. As a newborn care specialist, she didn’t just help with the day-to-day care of the babies; she also educated me as a new mother, easing my anxieties in those overwhelming early days. She taught me everything from proper swaddling techniques to understanding my babies’ feeding cues and sleep patterns, all while being incredibly patient and reassuring. What stood out most was her ability to tune into my needs as a new mom. She recognized when I needed rest, emotional support, or just a little confidence boost. Erica’s approach was gentle and non-judgmental, creating a safe space for me to ask questions and learn at my own pace. Her presence helped me feel empowered, and her guidance has continued to influence the way I care for my children. I truly can’t recommend Erica enough for any new parent. Erica quickly became more than just a newborn care specialist; she is now considered family. Her warmth, expertise, and unwavering support made those early weeks so much easier, and we couldn't imagine those moments without her. If my husband and I were to have more children, we would undoubtedly want Erica's help again. She brought so much peace of mind to our lives, and her influence continues to guide how we parent today.
