How these prices are calculated

Prices are the rates night nannies and newborn care specialists list on their Bornbir profiles. Birth doula packages are left out, because they pay for labor support rather than nights. So are hourly rates under $15 or over $200, to leave out package prices entered as an hourly rate by mistake.

The Gainesville figures count providers based within 150 miles once at least 5 of them list prices; below that the page shows Georgia or United States figures instead. Medians are the middle price, ranges the middle half of prices, and per-night costs assume a 10-hour shift. Figures recompute daily.

The cost of a night nanny in Gainesville, GA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Gainesville, GA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

Whether it’s offering calm, steady presence during labor, or providing personalized postpartum care—like preparing meals, tending to laundry, offering emotional support, or sharing practical guidance—I’m here to walk alongside you. My goal is to create a space rooted in simplicity, generosity, and authenticity so you can feel cared for and focus on what matters most: your growing family.

Lauren is amazing! She helped me build my birth plan and was able to bring her own experience and knowledge to help me make educated decisions. I ended up having to be medically induced early, and she talked through my birth plan with me again and helped me make adjustments. Day of, it was SO helpful to have her in the room to talk through decisions because the midwife was giving recommendations to change my birth plan, and it was so helpful to have a third party person who was educated in L&D to be able to talk this through with and come to the best conclusion for me. In the midst of giving birth, she was so helpful, attending to our every need. Because we had met ahead of time and she really took the time to get to know my goals and desires, she was able to advocate for me. I had precipitous labor, so things escalated quickly. At one point, my midwife asked me a question about pain meds that needed an immediate response. I was mid-contraction and unable to speak, but Lauren jumped in with no hesitation and communicated exactly what I wanted to say! She was also able to help keep my husband calm and engaged during our baby’s birth, and even he said he was so thankful Lauren was there with us! I would definitely hire her again and recommend her to anyone interested in hiring a doula!

Becoming a mother is one of life's most beautiful experiences — but also one of the most physically and emotionally demanding. Every mother deserves knowledgeable support, nourishing care, and time to heal. Hello! I'm Xuanqin Garrett, a certified Postpartum & Infant Care Doula (ProDoula, Cert. #PICD025127) serving the Metro Atlanta area. I have supported 8 families through the precious first weeks with their newborns, and I'd love to support yours. My Specialties Traditional Chinese Postpartum Meals — one of my greatest passions. I prepare authentic Chinese month-confinement meals: tonic chicken soup, traditional herbal teas (including Shenghua Tang to support postpartum recovery), and warm recovery dishes. I don't follow standard recipes — I customize every meal plan to each family's tastes, dietary needs, and cultural or faith traditions. Breastfeeding Support — the early weeks are often the hardest. Within my professional scope as a postpartum doula, I provide education, encouragement, comfort measures, and practical support, including gentle breast massage for fullness and engorgement. For medical concerns, I always refer to the mother's OB provider or an IBCLC. Gentle Recovery Care — relaxation massage for new moms (including cupping and moxibustion when appropriate), newborn care guidance, and light housework so you can rest and bond with your baby. My Schedule — daytime support (typically 6 hours/day in the first week, then 4–6 hours/day adjusted to your needs) and overnight care up to 2 nights per week. I hold a current AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED certification (adult/child/infant), and I speak Mandarin Chinese and English. It would be my privilege to walk alongside you as you welcome your newest family member.

Mislene was amazing. Her knowledge made me feel comfortable when making decisions during my labor and delivery. It gave my fiancé the confidence to be able to advocate for me in times I could not.
