Ideally, we are seeking a Christian provider, though that is not a requirement. We are hoping to have as natural a birth as possible with minimal interventions and testing throughout pregnancy. I am looking for a midwife and a doula who accept MediCal insurance and can support me throughout my first pregnancy and birth. My goal is to have a low-intervention, unmedicated labor, with guidance and support every step of the way. I haven’t decided if I will have a home birth and I would like to labor at home for as long as possible if a hospital birth becomes necessary or is the best option.
