I also went high risk last pregnancy at 40 weeks and 4 days with preeclampsia but gave birth naturally still but I did have to be admitted into the hospital per CNM’s requests. I am positive to have the birth of my dreams and am hoping to have providers that aren’t afraid and have experience in that area to avoid that best as possible this go round! First time mom, have thyroid nodule from the past that has been in remission till now - 9 weeks pregnant - but want to give birth the most natural and non-medicated way as possible. Interested in delayed cord clamp (more delayed than 1 minute) and no vaccines. So far, plan to give birth in a hospital or birthing center connected or next to a hospital. I have a prenatal birth coach. I’ve taken courses on hypnobirthing. I’ve had two appts with an OB for an early sonogram at 10 weeks and to hear the heart beat at 28 weeks. I am not interested in any additional OB appts. I intend to have an unassisted physiological freebirth. I’m considering just having my husband present, but consulting with any available doulas or midwives to possible hire someone else to be present for the birth and for postpartum care.

I’m looking for someone who will advocate for me when things get crazy in the delivery room and who is willing to coach me through labor and help support my husband in supporting me. I am currently hoping to give birth un medicated, but I am open minded as I have never experienced labor before. I know I will want delayed cord cutting and breastmilk only. I would also like to learn about different birth positions and reduce the risk of tearing and as natural as possible birth if the placenta.
