Hello! I'm Logan! My journey to becoming a doula was deeply influenced by my own personal experiences with childbirth. I've experienced a range of birth scenarios, including two cesarean sections, and three VBAC births. After my initial two C-sections, I felt a strong desire for a better birth experience. This led me to immerse myself in research about birth and VBAC options. With the knowledge I gained, I felt empowered to pursue a VBAC and was successful in achieving three vaginal births. I am passionate about educating and empowering other women to understand their options and feel supported in making the best choices for their own birth journey. I'm here to support you, as together we research, learn, and prepare for the birth you envision. I'm proud to be a certified doula through the West Michigan Midwifery Institute, and I'm committed to providing compassionate and informed support to every woman I serve.

I grew up in west Michigan, cradled by the crescent moon grin of the Great Lakes. My desire to become a doula first took root in experiences I had volunteering with local organizations and non-profits when I was in high school. My passion for community-based care began in the basement of a neighborhood church, where I first volunteered with a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families find and keep secure housing for their children. From these initial experiences, I got to witness first-hand how important it is for families to be well-informed and unconditionally supported in order to thrive together. The roots of my work as a doula and student midwife are the same as they were back then, before I even began birth work : when families are given non-judgemental support and evidence-based education during their transition into parenthood, they can have the most satisfying, empowering experience possible. As a doula, I emphasize a client-centered approach where you are seen as the expert in your own care; together, using support and education, we will create a birth / postpartum plan that supports the health and well-being of you, your baby, and your support team.

My job is to nurture and care for the newborn, the birth parent, and the entire family. As your Newborn Care Specialist, I’ll establish safe and comforting sleep practices, help you develop an easy-to-maintain daily and nightly schedule and routine, and create a system to track feedings, diaper changes, and sleep. I’ll also educate you on any aspects of newborn care you don’t feel confident in, especially for preemies, multiples, and/or medically fragile newborns. Christine Anderson is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Holistic Postpartum Care Specialist. She is a graduate from the Kalamazoo Center for the Healing Arts and specializes in prenatal/postpartum massage, and offers integrated body work sessions, including (but not limited to) Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, polarity and chakra balancing and intuitive support through body-led healing.​ ​ Beyond these services, Christine offers postpartum belly binding, Ayurvedic Postpartum Caregiver support, guided infant massage to parents and caregivers, chakra balancing, lactation support, and open gathering circles for birthers and postpartum doulas in the community. My name is Claire and I am starting my doula journey. I feel that I have been called to support women during pregnancy and postpartum. I am skilled at de-escalating situations in which you may feel panicked or afraid, and explain things in simple terms so that they aren't overwhelming. I have worked with children 5 to 18 years old who have mental, physical, and emotional handicaps as well as a multitude of students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder. Working with these students has brought me so much joy and understanding of a world that can be very hard to explain to those with no experience in it. Whether it is you, your children, or loved ones who identify with the previous disorders, I would be beyond honored and ecstatic to help work through the crazy mystery and miracle of birth. I started my birth work journey when I was seventeen years old, and have fallen in love with supporting other women in pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. I took my Doula training a year ago through Your Cherished Birth, and have been working on achieving my certification since then. Like everything else, I believe our bodies have been designed perfectly and without flaw, by God. Birth should not be an abnormal, impossible and scary thing, but rather a natural, beautiful and empowering experience. And this is more easily achieved with a Doula at your side reminding you to take care of yourself, advocating for you and your husband, and giving you ways to cope with the intensity of labor.
